I have a similar era Mercedes C220. My key does not turn the ignition tumbler. I guess you drilled into where the keyhole was? How deep did you drill? How did you remove the ignition tumbler after that? Thanks for taking time to help a desperate Mercedes owner.

You deserve more likes on this people are ridiculous. Many cases where this is indeed the last resort for a DIYer or even locksmith. Derpy people, great video and cool drill!
My boss at the shop says his dewalt 1/2" drive high torque impact wrench lasted longer through rigorous use than makita and milwaukee which pissed me off because they're all I ever bought lol I do think they're normally better tho just Dewalt has a few killer killer products

I had to do the same thing to a 2010 Chevy Equinox. Some lowlife tried to steal my sister's car screwed up the ignition lock cylinder so I had to drill it out replaced it working like new.

Thanks Derek, this is an old vid and in hind-sight I would have went back in an edited them all together but... it has helped a few people do a rather odd job. Yeah, that drill is a work-horse. Cheers man!

all i see is drill drilling with no lock removed. what did you end up doing, taking it to your local Mercedes dealer?

For all the dislikes they obviously never had their cars stolen where the ignition gets messed up this is only way to fix it lol
