Great advice and very well said. Do it for the fun and bring value. I see youtube as a fun hobby that I can potentially grow into part of a 10 year multi-faceted Brand.

Good advice! I'm only interested in YouTube as a hobby. However, it's much harder to get views in the beginning than I expected.

I appreciate your plant knowledge, and the way you deliver it. Tank of the week was great. Maybe start it again around Thanksgiving.

Hey Bentley my names Dustin. I’m also a “small tuber”. I wish people would understand that I do videos because I enjoy them as well. I enjoy keeping the things I have and showing my fish as well. I understand they’re not great cuz they’re filmed with an iPhone, but I enjoy it. I hope the people who watch my videos enjoy them as much as I did creating them. I also wanted to say thank you. Your Fluval 3.0 videos have opened me up to my fluval 3.0 settings. And I also wanna say thank you for doing what you do! Glad to see another small fry who enjoys the videos because they’re fun!!

I'm thrilled that YouTube now fully pays for my hobby, so enjoying my aquariums for "Free" is really great!!!
Of course learning how to create content, is a Whole New Hobby in itself, and who knows where it might go?
Joining others who share the same hobby has become a new community to feel a part of all over the world :)

Thank you for this video, Bentley. I've never aspired to be a content creator myself, but I can appreciate how much time and effort goes into making these and I'm glad you are still enjoying making them because I certainly enjoy watching them. 😘

I really like this heart to heart about what it takes. I agree the amount of work is just insane.

Very well said! I was lucky, and started out with a bit of knowledge and access to equipment. But even my videos now, are not as polished simply because I don't like spending the extra time to super polish it. But it's something I enjoy! And I'm glad I do it, but definitely not for the money! Haha

As a non-creator, I love your content and how you explain things. Keep being you.

First I want to say thank you for all the great things you show us and teach us!!! Makes me sad to see that people who really have interesting things to say not getting the views and people who smash, burn, blow up things or people who are just buying expensive things or the people who are just worried about being the most beautiful person in the world do get all these views. Think things might be better for everybody if we could be more in tune with bettering our minds and souls!!! Just my lil rant!! Lol 🤬😢🤣

Spot on Bentley. I find 10-15 minutes to be the sweet spot. And I agree 100%. A good edited video has significantly more replay value and will get more subs and watch hours than a live stream. Personally I find most streams to be painfully boring, lacking a topic or purpose. There are a few great streamers like Aquarium Coop and Dans Fish that are good at providing information and education. They also do an exceptional job at keeping comments and answers related to fish, and on point to the topic of the stream.

Very well put Bentley! You are absolutely spot on! I have always said that my channel is like the wishbone in football growing one yard at a time.

Wow...you're so well spoken. I've always been fascinated about youtube. I just feel I have to be committed to the pure process of learning and joy and communication....the whole money thing still doesn't feel right. I also am not in love with tech...since I live in a city gobbled up by big tech & Genentech.

I'm old school..

Thank you, Bentley ~ Your heart and desire to help others ALWAYS shines through ~ You have shared your successes AND your failures with us, so we can all benefit and learn from them ... and the biggest winners, in all of this, are our fish! You are a great teacher and I appreciate your hard work ~

This was awesome, I am binge watching your videos today and yes, I will probably skip the live streams. Although when I get home and click on your playlist...
