It's really sad to see how much we are being abused by our government and people keep begging for them to take more of our rights if the police have guns we need bigger guns.

Wish I was a programmer. I'd build the worst possible virus triggered by unauthorized device tapping and remote access. that would turn their systems into boat anchors. Wanna snoop? Merry Christmas!

I'm in Mesa, Arizona where a police helicopter kept hovering low over my house. I finally got tired of it and gave them the finger. I noticed that since then I am getting followed around by the helicopters. I figured out they are following my cellphone using a "Stingray", or whatever other devices they use now. They'll also do low passes over my house at 2 or 3am. I can't believe they are allowed to harass people like that. This has been going on for months. I imagine the fuel and man hour cost they have gone through already. But they got money to burn.

Why is there no mention of how our Constitutional rights are actually negated by the Patriot Act (and the various National Defense Authorization Act and other criminal executive orders signed by the last 2 administrations)??

This should only be accepted when there is a kidnapping, runaway teen, missing person or terrorist threat, massive drug dealer going down.

Greetings Rick,
I respect your opinion, however having someone track your cell phone with no probable cause is different. What you do in public in view of any public cameras, I have no problem with, when the camera comes into my house, then I have a problem. Tracking me, or intercepting my incoming text messages when I am a law abiding citizen that has no criminal record is a direct violation of the fourth amendment of the U.S. Constitution. If change is needed, then change the law. Peace

"So I guess we should just let rapists, druggies, and murderers run free."
Rapists no; driggies yes; murderers no.

But in each case get a fucking warrant.

Only NON warrant case I can see is 1. To retrieve stolen phone and 2. track a missing kid or person, as in suspected abduction cases. The open the track IMMEDIATELY

Wrap your cell phone with aluminum foil, then try calling it. Not sharing these information, for the intend of criminal activity.

Well, this just makes me even more glad that I don't own a cell phone, nor have I ever wanted one.

how many people killed by terrorists this past year?
how many killed by drugs? (legal or illegal)
how many killed by traffic accidents?
how can the Supreme Court be so out of touch that they have perspective on reality?

Apparently just being alive and in the country is "probable cause" for these people...

They can't get a fix on your location and the phone won't record your location. It does not wipe your info. But when you are going on a sensitive mission remove the battery till the mission is over. From cheating on your wife to robbing a bank its good advice.

I love how Cenk is soooo quick to quote the 4th, but in the sane breath he is about gun and does not give a shit about the 2nd.

Take your SIM cards out and they have nothing to track ... just don’t call on telephones... they’re connected

Why obtain evidence that can't be used against a person in court? To admit that you searched someone's phone records without a warrant is just begging for an appeal.
