I wonder if the civilians are there of their own accord or are being kept from leaving by the Ukrainian soldiers. Is it just the soldiers who do not want to surrender or is it the civilians in the complex as well ?

I saw this in Telegram. The Russian MOD now say they are scheduled for destruction.

1) they could let civilian go, Russians opened evacuation corridors few time, 2) they could use those corridors themselves, but… the truth is that they are war criminals who killed Mariupol locals, so they know what kind of treatment they will get from Russians.

Why have Zelensky not mentioned the civilians untill now? I wounder why? Can it be that the civilians are held as human shields. Probobly. The Ukrainians must have serios communication problems.

Their pleading with the international community for an "extraction." Call it whatever you want but these Ukrainian soldiers have clearly given up and want to be rescued.
