Adobe After Effects CC 2024: How To Render Work Area Only
This tutorial will show you how to render the Work Area Only in the Render Queue & Adobe Media Encoder in Adobe After Effects CC 2024.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
Add To Render Queue: Cmd/Ctrl + M
Add To Adobe Media Encoder Queue: Opt/Alt + Cmd/Ctrl + M
Set Beginning of Work Area: B
Set End of Work Area: N

How To Render Work Area Only (Render Queue) in Adobe After Effects CC 2024:
1. Create a new Composition
2. Drag CTI and tap ‘B’ to set beginning of Work Area
3. Drag CTI and tap ‘N’ to set end of Work Area
4. Select Comp Window or Timeline Panel
5. Go to File…Export…Add To Render Queue
6. Go to ‘Render Settings’
7. Click on ‘Best Settings’
8. Go to ‘Time Sampling’ section
9. Change ‘Timespan’ to ‘Work Area
10. Change ‘Format’ to H.264 40 Mbps (or preferred Preset)
11. Click on ‘Output To:’ and add title and set destination to Render
12. Click on ‘Render’
How To Render Work Area Only (AME) in Adobe After Effects CC 2024:
1. Create a new Composition
2. Drag CTI and tap ‘B’ to set beginning of Work Area
3. Drag CTI and tap ‘N’ to set end of Work Area
4. Select Comp Window or Timeline Panel
5. Go to File…Export…Add To Adobe Media Encoder Queue (AME)
6. Go to ‘Preset Browser’
7. Search for ‘YouTube 4K’ preset or similar
8. Drag desired preset on Output
9. Click on link for Format or Preset
10. Go below Preview Window and look for ‘Source Range’
11. Change to ‘Work Area’
12. Click on ‘Output To:’ and add title and set destination to Render
13. Click on green Play icon in the top right corner to ‘Start Queue’
