Check out our new line called Straight To Landfill. This is where you put an item in your cart, pay for it, and then we chuck it straight into a landfill for you. Over 80% of clothing is either landfilled or incinerated. Did we burst your little fashionista bubble?

I’m not sure if I’ll get ground news, but I’ll watch your ad just so I don’t hurt Roger’s feelings

That scene in "Idiocracy" where Dax Shepard pulls his Shirt off a roll like they're paper towels. And the pattern is all Ads

Sounds about right.
It's not just fast fashion either.
The world wants, but never at cost.

I don’t understand why one even needs to bother to follow fashion trends. I don’t I just wear what I want for as long as I can. If it gets holes or stained. I take it out of my daily rotation of clothes and I wear it only for doing messy stuff. There is no need to be constantly buying new clothes when there isn’t anything wrong with the ones you’ve got. Just because it’s not fashionable now doesn’t mean you have to chuck it in the bin. If it’s ripped beyond repair sure but if not wear it until goes thread bare.

Normally I'd skip this ad, but I definitely don't want to hurt Roger's feelings. Damn he's good! 😂

This was way darker than I was expecting. This episode was serving Maximum Hort.

I still wear stuff from the 90s that is in better condition than some clothes I bought and wore for half a year...

I think Adam Conover had a video where he mentioned that clothing bought online and then sent back are sent to the landfill instead of being repacked.

That rare moment when I can feel smug about getting clothes from thrift stores and then wearing them for a decade or more.

That's why I buy just plain t-shirts and pants. I'm not trying to impress anyone; and judging by womens' reactions (or lack thereof), it's working.

2:14 that’s actually a 15 year old J Crew shirt I bought at a thrift store and it’s been through years of addiction hell and homelessness and it’s still in good shape!

Roger telling me not to skip the ad was effective

i've been trying to tell people this for years, but they never listen.
if you order the same outfit in multiple sizes, then return the ones that don't fit, guess where they
straight to the landfill, even tho no one has ever worn them.
take responsibility, selfish, greedy trendsetters. 🤬

I am so happy I wear my clothes for years, and buy from places that cost more but deliver quality. And have been wearing vintage for decades. And the rags save on paper towels.

I've been wearing the same set of 15 plain black shirts I got from a thrift store for at least 4 years now

I’ve got many shirts and shorts that are going on over 30 years old now it’s funny when people tell me they like the shirts and ask where I got them only to be told I don’t remember because I got them 30 years ago lol
