DJI Air 2 Worth it? DJI Mavic 2 Zoom VS DJI Mavic Air 2 | Drone Comparison | Review 🙃

The Mavic Air 2 is packed with a lot of features and I thought to find out which option would be the best if you owned a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, like my self.
If you are a new buyer then the Mavic Air 2 is a perfect option, but if you already own the Mavic 2 Zoom or Pro, then I think it's not worth the upgrade.
On paper the DJI Mavic Air 2 seems to be the epitome of droning, but I really don't think so. The Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro are a much better choice and value for money.

I'm still looking to buy my first drone. Stupid question maybe, but does the zoom actually have an option of zooming in with the camera or does any drone have that option? My brother has the dj air 2 and said he can't zoom in while it's in flight.

I'm thinking to buy one drone but my doubt is which one to buy ? Mavic Air 2 or Mavic 2 zoom ? Which I love the Mavic 2 zoom are the control and the side sensors and of course the camera, but my concern is a 2018 model. Will worth the money to buy ? I just don't like that the air 2 has no side sensors...

Your review is neutral and correct. I tested today both drones and came to same result. No différence in range both go over 5km without Problems. Active track was even better at the Mavic 2 zoom (more intelligent) because of the Sensors. When i stopped walking and turned around the zoom did it also but my air 2 just flew Backwards because i doesn't have enough sensor to see enough to turn around 180 degrees. The zoom is still the better drone when you already have it, and you can't speak about upgrading. Apas 3 is only better when you give enough sensors to the drone! Great review.

Sideways sensors only work in certain modes not constantly, in that way it is almost like you don't have sideways sensors.

Thanks for the review. Only thing I'd add is ADBS with software update isn't possible to Mavic2's. ADBS needs a 1090MHZ receiver and I don't believe mavic 2 have a software defined radio to add it later.

Hi Momin. Thanks for the video. Really enjoy the non-fanboy stance on the Air2. Recently got a mini and want to upgrade. Wind and sensors are big drivers for the decision, so 2Pro is in the lead. The biggest reason not to go there is the M3Pro which is obviously coming. So maybe I buy the Air2 and wait for the 3Pro? :-)

I have both, I prefer my zoom with the new firmware update they just released that gives the zoom the capability of now flying just as far as the air 2.

I own and fly both. They are very close functionally but for some undefinable reason when I put the Zoom up, I feel much more comfortable it will come back to me. It's bigger, more solid and has better software. I also like the optical zoom as I can put the bird up high to avoid trees and powerlines, and still zoom in close with less overall risk. Camera wise, I can't see a difference but I am a hobby flyer and not primarily a camera buff. But videos shot with both are far better than I need for hobbyist purposes (I only use 1080p to keep files smaller)

I do like the system on a the Air where it warns of close planes . This should be on all drones for safety reasons. Since I only fly in rural areas, it's useful only for float planes (most of which don't have the transmitter in spite of the law) and for low flying helicopters.

It's a close decision as to which to buy. So I bought both....ha ! But if budget is a concern (and when isn't it), the new Air2 might be the way to go.

If someone already own mavic 2 zoom, there is no point upgrading to mavic 2 air as zoom and pro have more manual control options for the camera and in real life, the video result is nearly the same and if not, you can use editing :p

Just don't get confused with megapixel numbers 😉

U Really should Fly the Air 2 rather then go by what other Utubers have to say, the New Remote is amazing, you are the only utuber who claims the air 2 is not as good as the Zoom,
