SYNOPSIS
In May 1986 Peter Cushing reflected on his life during an hour-long radio interview that was thought to be lost to the archive, but now, with contributions from Christopher Lee, Madeline Smith, Derek Fowlds, Valerie Leon, Judy Matheson, Morris Bright MBE, Paul Welsh MBE and The Hammer Runners, Brian Reynolds and Phil Campbell, co-authors of Running Scared, we can now hear his reflections for the first time in a new documentary, PETER CUSHING: In His Own Words narrated by Jenny Hanley, which provides fresh insights into his personality, his work and his lasting contribution to our popular culture.

Met PC in Whitstable in the early 80s in a tea room, could well have been this one. Told him how much I had respected his work, he was delighted and we ended up talking over tea for the next hour.
Delightful man, bright intellect, no ego and yet very aware of his place in film, quite delicate at the time. Recall some funny stories and also how ‘long winded’ film work was, always preferring one take, as I recall he said the first take captured the essence after that only the rehearsal.
