If you ever feel weird a situation like this, remember that long perfectly straight corridors do not exist in nature and we did not evolve to interact in such an artificial environment

i like to imagine he's walking back and forth repeatedly instead of reversing the video. it has that kind of flavor

I honestly can't tell if this is a joke or the most useful information I've ever learned in my life.

I wave too high. The waist wave is now a real addition to my repertoire.

An analysis of micronod directions based on one's familiarity with the specific opponent would be a helpful addendum to this

I expected this to be funny, but then it turned out to be actually useful.

walking past neighbors is traumatic. Always glad to meet no one.

I had a boss and whenever I saw him, I used to say hi, or hello, or howdy. One day he asked me why I did this and told me it was annoying.

So I started saying goodbye.

Walking past someone just once without creating awkwardness is easy. The real problem comes when you have to cross the same hallway with the same people back and forth several times throughout the day, and you're too acquaintanced and in close proximity with such people to consider them total strangers and give no importance to what they think, but they're also too distant and unknown to have a genuinely relaxed intimacy and treat them with any more familiarity other than a strictly polite cordiality.

The timing of eye contact is actually quite tricky to get right. This was masterfully executed.

Don't forget the 'friendly yet disinterested grimace', where you form your lips and cheeks into the form of a smile but do not follow through with the full emotion of a smile, thus signaling that you see and acknowledge the opponent politely, but do not wish to force your conversation upon them. This grimace should last no longer than 2 seconds, although if the opponent is a stranger not likely to be encountered again, feel free to experiment with the length.

I grew up with crippling social anxiety and walking pass someone was the most terrifying experience, but this video is hilarious nonetheless hahaha

I demand a high five from every opponent I pass. If my hands are full I let a subtle micro-fart while exhaling
