Poland was not ONLY part of Russia, but also part of Prussia (Germany) and Austria-Hungary. Till today there are differences in these regions of Poland also in regards to railways/ roads infrastructure and cultural/political believs.

Germany invaded Poland and destroyed it completely along with Soviets. Germany wasn’t as destroyed and they lost less people. When WWII ended, not only robbed Poland didn’t get any help from Marchall Plan but was forced under Communism until 1989. While Germany had a chance to rebuild and develop its economy, Poles were subjected to genocide and was forced to fight Russians alone. We still buy our own art from German private collectors and Poland has never got any retribution for WWII or Communism.
