I saw a recipe from a 1970s Better Homes & Gardens magazine, and since I happened to be having a Christmas party, I HAD to make it. It was called "Lunchmeat Christmas Tree" and basically, you wrap a craft store foam cone with foil and cover it with kale, rolled up lunchmeats, pimento stuffed olives, cubes of sausage, cheese and cherry tomatoes --all held in place with toothpicks. I had it sitting on a footed pedistal stand and it actually looked good! (I was going for camp but it looked pretty elegant). I used nice meats from the deli counter instead of the Oscar Meyer stuff.

Wouldn't it have been easier scooping pineapple out of its skin and putting the jelly and that inside that? Then you can have it as a dip or scoop it out onto a plate
