We live under an economic system in which ever greater resource extraction is essential for the growth and development of the wealth of ever fewer individuals. We need to stop seeking profits over everything else.

Too many have simply allowed themselves to believe that the kindness of humanity is nothing special or necessary and by doing so believe those who claim to have empathy actually are empathetic when they are not.

Truly intelligent beings would stop the wars, stop the killing and destruction, and focus on what we need to do to be here for another billion years. Instead of spending billions of dollars on new destructive weapons to kill everybody, we need to focus on how to eliminate all diseases and pain. We can push our technology to live not just 90 or 100 years, but we can extend our lifetime's to span thousands of years on this earth in total peace and harmony. We cannot continue to allow the dictators and bullies of the world to keep the threat of total destruction of us all just to please their small minded egos..

Subhuman is not fully human.
To not know compassion for fellow human beings is subhuman.
WE choose when OUR time ends. Either we salvage humanity or we let it slip. Humans are, likely, the only beings of our kind in the UNIVERSE. It is, therefore, easily argued that human beings are the greatest resource in the universe!
Human life is a marvel! WE are the absolute miracle of all existence. If we do not fully value the greatest of creations, where do we place value?
Moreover, the “human resource”, if not valued properly/without agenda by their brethren, will surely be utilized, somehow, as just another expendable asset and not the greatest miracles of all time!

I think we are on an incline of awareness… I don’t think most of us have any idea of what life was like eons ago as human survival was a dominant factor in regards to where humans placed their consciousness and awareness…. As we are freed from that mindset via technology, we find ourselves with new dilemmas in regards to what our footprints are doing.
As we become more aware and less consumed by survival we will continue to become more considerate of our impact on all species, especially our own along with our environment.

and when you can't,
Then realize how you treat other people will affect where you spend eternity, and then you'll start training with people better.
