Terraforming your island is one of, if not the most exciting unlockable features in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In order to unlock it, you first need to get your island to a 3 star rating. In this video, I'll explain and show you (kind of) what I did in order to go from a 1 star island to a 3 star island in less than 24 hours!

Just want to add some stuff that my island also had at the time that probably affected my rating as well. These things were already apart of my island before I really started trying to get 3 stars which is why I didn't think to include them during the original recording.
1. Two bridges
2. One incline
3. Lots of trees and almost no weeds

I put near 500 flowers on my island, and it shot up from a 1 star to a 3 star island. I also had 6 villagers. Hope this helps :D

Honestly, I'm so stuck with this misson. I have 10 residents, the Able sisters shop, over 50 decorations, over 80 fences, and over 100 flowers but I am still stuck at a 2 star rating.

You know what would really suck? If I’m order to decorate your island with good things like paths, rivers, and waterfalls, you have to somehow decorate enough to be able decorate👏boi

I literally had a lot of things around my island and Isabelle told me I had to pick up things because it seemed untidy

Isabelle never stops saying that I need to plant flowers, despite me planting so many.

I hate flowers.

For anyone stuck on this if you don’t have 8 villagers it won’t work! I had 2 stars woke up in the morning to new villager and got 3 star!

I had an easy time with getting 3 stars, I had around 45 furniture items around my island mostly in the center area. I only put one furniture in the north area of my island, 1 furniture to the right side of my island, and completely ignored the left north and right north side of my island. But, I had a butt ton of trees, too much I guess lol But, I also put down a butt ton of fences and flowers, and cleared all of the weeds pretty much. What helped a lot was inviting 2 villagers too, so I guess you either have to have 7 or 8 villagers.

I just finished and got my three star this is what worked for me:
Lot of trees
No weeds
I only finished with one bridge
100+ flowers
I had one bush
50 fences
9 villagers
I had 2 different types of fruit so don’t go and waste your ticket just to get no new fruit
No inclines
10 bamboo trees

What I did was just keep DIYing log stakes and wooden toys. And it actually worked!
