I've cut Brave and DPE and the deck just feels right. Goes to show that OCG doesn't always translate to TCG.
Cutting DPE gave me the space for Branded Lost, Kitt, Shrouded Dragon, and Mercourier.
Cutting Brave meant that Aluber and Albaz are live normal summons and you are not as reliant on Branded Opening to win you the game.

I've also been using Branded in High Spirits since it's an extra foolish burial and a Search for Kit, Mercourier, or Incredible ecclesia and main decking Phantazmay for the other link based decks, free body + draws. I feel like Branded in High Spirits is flying so low under the radar since it's mostly only useful if you're playing a very pure Branded Despia deck. it even has a GY effect to add itself back to hand during the end phase if a Fusion monster was send there this turn like Incredible Ecclesia even if you can't use that effect the turn you use it's main effect. and even Branded Retribution has it's niche uses post game 1 in the mirror or verter turbo, brave, and pranks since it's a searchable solemn strike essentially.

I've found instant fusion for millennium eyes really nice in pure. It blocks ash blossom or board breaks, and branded opening can protect in the end phase

I've cut the hand traps and tested it out yesterday against a friend's Floowandereeze deck and it runs pretty smoothly. Just gotta practice getting the plays down memorized

I still need to experiment with Banded Despias as I wanna see if a Spellcaster/ Dragon build, Dark lord or amalgam fusion deck could be the preferred version I wanna play. I've already held onto my adventure core but don't like them with despias- rather use them in a better build.

My first build for Branded was Adventurer with Patchwork. I only played it once in a small tournament, and after that and many test hands, I hated it. It felt more like I was playing around my own deck than the opponent's. I put together the pure build that Pak put out recently, and it feels so much better. The openning hands, interruption, extension, and followup are so much more consistent and satisfying. I can't wait to try it at locals.

I like that brave comes at the cost of the normal summon effect. brings a new view of what to side instead of just do i side in going first or second cards. Or do i side in back row or combo cards, also now you could side in normal summons or brave stuff. 🤷🏻‍♂️ i like it.

I was wondering when players were going to utilize more of the Albaz cards.

The structure deck offered ALOT that a player can splash in other decks without Alibur. BLEW UP Despia. It's amazing!

I play it still with the brave package, BUT and here comes the big but. After I cutted the DPE package, because I totally did like how clunky some hands were. So I tested it out - and after I did get the deck down to 40 cards I extremely start to like the Brave Branded Despia Deck. The thing that helped the most was...that I only own 2 Enchantress and 2 Rites so I never could use it on full power. but so I go the deck much smaller and funny enough it fells way less clunky.

Aiming for a more pure build myself, need an incredible ecclesia and a guardian chimera to finish it up and make it that much stronger

I tested branded Despia adventure
And can honestly say the non adventure build with frightfur package is far more consistent and resistant to interruptions. I could count maybe 8-9 matches won against Branded Despia out of 40 matches

I think the disccution is prevention vs extention the brave version sacrifices synergy to protect branded fusion and the pure version ups the synergy with more extenders to extend past the stopping of branded fusion. I think thats the direction the meta is going for thats why we see more swordsoul than synchro piles and people cutting hand traps.

I play despia pure on master duel and I absolutely love it and how it can completely play through most of the meta with little to effort, winda? Easy. Construct? Easy. Drytron? You're gonna need more cards boi.
Elditch? Pfft not even a deck go get a real deck.
Sword soul? Go get a junk speeder you might be worth something.
I can't imagine how strong the deck would be with branded fusion I can't wait to build it irl.

All of the branded backrow cards are amazing low-key, except maybe branded disciple since you can essentially use despian comedy instead but you can still play it for fun and actually succeed
