2 Corrections from a dental student:

1. Point your brush into your gums at 45 degrees when doing the circular motion! It is THE most important part of brushing teeth as bacteria is scraped out from inside the pocket between your tooth and gum. Pointing the brush straight onto your teeth will not remove the bacteria hiding in there and this may be the difference between your teeth being healthy or you developing gum disease.

2. DO NOT RINSE THE After you brush, you need the toothpaste to stay inside your mouth for at least 30 minutes. You can spit away most but do not rinse the left-over paste in your mouth. It contains the "magic mineral" known as fluoride which provides the building blocks your teeth need to repair any damage on the outer surface.

EDIT: For some reason, people think this means you rinse after 30 minutes... I SAID DO NOT RINSE! No rinsing means no rinsing, I gave extra information on how long it takes for toothpaste to START working. You want to keep the paste in your mouth as long as possible which means until your next meal. You DO NOT use mouth rinses, water, or anything else at the 30-minute mark... just let it stay there; your saliva, water, and food will wash it out in a couple hours during lunch.
If your concern is the toothpaste taste with your food then don't be worried, the paste and taste will naturally wash away before your next meal.

For those who are anti-fluoride, I have presented my case below already and will not be wasting my time replying any further. I would recommend using HAP or calcium based toothpaste which are naturally produced products of the body. It is good to use for your teeth with similar benefits but the protection is not as strong as fluoride.

It is highly inappropriate to spread false information, that is considered "fear mongering" even if the message genuinely comes as goodwill. If you have an issue about fluoridated products, you have the alternative options available but do not prescribe these products to others unless you are a dentist yourself. There are countless people who require fluoridation to keep not only their teeth, but also maintain their lives. Advanced dental issues can lead to life threatening/debilitating circumstances so I have no tolerance for such behaviour. Social status, mental health, overall well-being and ability to function like a normal person are all important factors which are affected by dental issues. Frankly, fluoridated products are the only method of protection for certain individuals.

Fun fact: if you brush your teeth too hard, you can cause your gums to bleed so brush softly and make sure when you brush your gums go over once and don’t irritate your gums by not messing with them or brushing your teeth too hard

Y'all the fact that most of us don't know how to properly brush or floss our teeth and still have nice teeth means it's gonna be ok. No longer ashamed about my bad appointment.

If your mouth bleeds while brushing your teeth it means that A build up of plaque, of tartar, irritates the gums, causing sensitivity, inflammation and bleeding. Spitting blood when you brush is the most obvious sign there's a problem with the health of your gums. It's a good indicator that you need to see your dentist

I just visited The Bentist channel and I’ll give it to him. He is a great man. The fact he exposes some fake dental advice won my heart. I’m fully ready to hear and probably learn from his opinion. 💪🏽🔥😎

for the people who are saying bleeding gums aren’t normal yes they are. if you have sensitive gums it’s easy for them too bleed and if you brush them too hard then that’s another reason.

Never do this guys! The blood means you are brushing way too hard and if you rinse your mouth after, it completely ruined the effect of the fluoride.
No hate ik your trying to help ppl but this is my opinion ❤

Don't rinse straight after, it will wash away the fluoride from the toothpaste, which protects your teeth

Tip 1: DO NOT rinse your mouth with water after brushing.
Tip 2: Use mouth wash before brushing.
Tip 3: DO NOT eat anything 20 before or after you brush.

NO. Use the brush at a 45 degree angle to the gums so the brussles clean your gums. Behind bottom front teeth you do verticle upstroke on each and opposite for top front teeth. You need to visualize the surfaces of your teeth and make sure your toothbrush goes into your gum WITHOUT FORCING. It should go in itself. Dont jam it in.
