Be More Open Minded - Being smart involves being open to different viewpoints even if they contradict your own. Be open to learning about viewpoints and concepts that you disagree with so that you become a more well rounded individual.

Utilize Audio books - I’ve mentioned this before in previous answers and I’m gonna mention it again - invest in audio books! They make it super easy to digest information especially when you are on the go or don’t have time to sit and read.

Research What Interests You - Educating yourself doesn’t have to be boring. I recommend starting off by making a list of things you’ve always wanted to learn more about. Getting smarter doesn’t mean you have to spend hours learning about things that are of no interest to you. in school i thought i hated reading…thats not true

Learn A New Word Per Week - Each week pick a new word and use the rest of the week to add it into your vocabulary. Find excuses to use the word in conversation (without overdoing it of course). Over time you will have a cornucopia of awesome words in your arsenal.
