About The Blacklist: For decades, ex-government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader, TV’s “The Office,” “Boston Legal”) has been one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as “The concierge of Crime.” Now, he’s mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: he will help catch the world’s most elusive criminals, under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone, TV’s “Law & Order: Los Angeles”), an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico. For Liz, it’s going to be one hell of a first day on the job.

"I get the impression that Jerry here has a bus to catch". "I for one feel better knowing it (bail) was considered". Red was the heart and soul of this show and the way James delivered the lines were hilarious.

Love the way he spoke, so calmly. And the way he respond to a judge.

Being represented by Alan Shore himself is a damn good deal.

"shouldn't judges at least pretend to be impartial"

They did such a great job w the judge… gave the best portrayal of an actual judge. Firm, funny but very fair minded… her lines were written beautifully and her emotion is 10000%

"After careful consideration of the circumstances I feel it more prudent to hire Alan Shore."

The way Red tells his lawyer to stay behind when they approach is just down right funny. Or how he says "I for one feel better that it was entertained"🔥🔥🔥

The dialogues in these series have improved my vocabulary considerably. Kudos to the writers.

They picked the perfect actress for the judge...

Only Red Reddington could pull this off in a court of law. Anybody else who even attempted to do the same would be an idiot to say the least.

I love how comically dismissive he is with his lawyer, that little hand gesture at 1:40 cracks me up so much 😀

Red uses words, romances them, and releases them with so much grace and finesse. Such a great actor!

I like that Reds attorney is named Jerome, but Red calls him Jerry consistently.

James Spada is a wonder. A wonder why this esteemed actor is not more recognized as one of the greats. Every role I have seen him in is pure gold. Some of those, haunt me. I'm not partial to ever speaking accolades on someone or something too easily. I am in awe of his talent.

Red: "your honor, my real name is Alan shore, former lawyer from Crane, Pool and Schmidt"
Denny came out from behind: "Denny Crane !"
* plays Boston Legal theme music *
- THE END -

It's a good thing that Red was once at a Boston legal firm for many years to properly know exactly how to defend himself in a courtroom.
