Said with a father’s pride and love.

I don't think I knew what acting was until I saw James Spader in The Blacklist. I'm so glad others see his brilliance as well. Still, he is widely underrated!

One of the greatest scenes in TV history.

And this is why I rather like Red. He doesn't give people forgiveness they don't deserve.

James Spader provides the contrast of what the difference between a star and an actor are. Acting truly is a craft and only a few "stars" ever demonstrate this true art. Spader is one of the best. Extraordinary talent.

James Spader. Making moral complexity look and sound awesome since at least the 1980s.

Just beautiful and brilliant. Such a powerful scene. A perfect exposition of how Dembe became Red's right hand.

That look he gives Dembe on the way out always breaks my heart. I used to think it was a sort of silent apology to him... but the more I watch it, the more I think that Red had to look at him, to remember WHY Geoff had to die. Because he would have consigned this "splendid" man to a living hell in some dank shithole. So much of what Red does, all the dirt he gets on his hands, he does for others... whether he admits it or not.

One of my favorite actors from one of my favorite shows. This episode was particularly good because we now know how he met Dembe.

The emotion and fury in his eyes when dembe intervenes, you can see Raymond trying his best to hold back. I just love the passion behind Spaders execution of his lines!

James Spader is amazing as reddington. You can see the pain in his face and hear the pain in his voice in this scene.

James Spader is the best actor ever. His delivery of the lines with the pauses and cadence, together with his nuanced facial expressions makes us feel everything. His performance in this monologue is just spectacular.

By far my favorite Reddington moment. James Spader did a phenomenal job. His emotional delivery was flawless. You could feel every word he uttered. You could feel his overwhelming love for Dembe in that moment. Pure perfection

I can watch this over & over. Goosebumps cover me, my eyes well up. It's so beautiful, the way he speaks of him.

Dembe is a sweetheart considering all the crap he went through in his childhood/early teens before Red took him.

Glad the better, caring side of Red rubbed off on him than the steel cold side.

Dembe plays another important role in The Major episode where he advices Red to go tell Liz "EVERYTHING" he's been keeping from her.

Red gets emotional and says he doesn't think he can to which Dembe responds "Don't think, just tell".
