gravy recipe
150ml hot water boil with dried or fresh rosemary 5 minutes, 1 tablespoon of soya sauce and wostershire sauce, 2 tablespoon of crushed black peppercorns, boil 2 minutes, add meat juice from roasted meat tray, and 1 tablespoon of flour, stir off heat until no lumps and salt and white pepper

By the way for gravy we will usually use bisto which is partly what you created with the butter flour and beef broth mixture, we also usually pour the meat fats and juices with the stock of the veg, into a pan and add the bisto mixture, and boil and reduce it, having gravy with little bits of veg and meat pieces is what makes sunday dinner for me😂

I thought the pink was fine. Not sure why it needed to be cooked more. Maybe it’s personal preference. All of it looks delicious though.

Proper british roast potato tips:

- Okay so we NEVER slice potatoes into round discs- instead into quarters or similar. Corners = crispy.

- roast potatoes are usually peeled

- to make proper authentic British roasties, peel, boil until half way cooked in salted water- and then MOST IMPORTANTLY- once they're drained, put them back into the pot with the lid on and SHAKE- we call this 'fluffing the potatoes', the cooked outside layer of the potatoes breaks apart and this will form a crispy crust in the oven.

- pre-heat duck fat in the oven tray, and then add the fluffed potatoes right in there for the best crispiest potatoes.

i had a friend years ago who was from england she taught me about Yorkshire Pudding good i used to make it all the time for my husband i havent made it in years though since he passed all looks delicious

You did right on the roast. It's better when it's that much red, then like you did, prepare to desired color on stovetop or otherwise. Dinner looked delicious.

Gotta peel those potatoes. Then ruffle them after boiling and before roasting to get that correct texture. Otherwise, this looks amazing!
