This is so hard for me when it comes to my mother. She puts me in very difficult situations. I want to honor both of my parents 100% but my mother provokes me and she does it intentionally. I will ask her to please don't provoke me and it's almost like she gets fueled on by my request for her to not provoke me. I honestly wish she would move away from me so that I can just have peace. Then I could communicate when I wanted to. I just want peace. She has caused me a lot of pain from my childhood up until currently and she doesn't care. Please pray for me that she leaves me and moves away.

No matter what i do for my mother she calls me names and disrespect me and never appreciates what i do for her. i decided to help her but not be in the line of fire by staying with her when I visit she lives in another state. i can talk on phone but when i am in her house she is hateful. i dont think you should be abused and called names but rather avoid those things that set her off. i will continue to support but not like i did before. i believe its about intentions. my intentions are to be nice and good to her. we have a long history of conflict.

I heard from the other videos similar to this saying that not making contact with your parent is the opposite of honoring them, i’m having a difficulties how to do things right in my life since my honorable mom died last year, however my father is a great liar, controlling and a narcissist. I honor a lot of people that i think very honorable, yet it’s very hard to honor someone you know that does not posses the qualities to be honored

Honoring your parents goes far and beyond just giving them respect and honor. These are basic Morales that should be established and followed. The true meaning of honoring your parents in a biblical term is taking care of them at an older age or when they need it. America has lost that value, and instead of the children taking care of their older parents (aka honoring them) they give them up to the government and make it their responsibility. That what it means to truly honor them. Also to some of the comments, if you were abused or neglected as a child or even as an adult, first off I am sorry to hear that, but if you are a true Christian the bible teaches us to turn the other cheek. Meaning it is your duty as the child of the parent to take care of your aging parents therefore honoring them.
