Context: A spring from Barichello's car came loose and bounced over the track and hit Massa in the face knocking him unconscious which led to him car going straight for the barrier...
Massa was very lucky because study showed that if the spring hit him a few cm higher or lower it would have meant death for him, but the damage was so fatal that he couldnt drive for the rest of the season and he would never be as good as before the accident

eu tinha 9 anos na epoca e tava assistindo essa corrida, eu conhecia o Senna, vi alguns videos das corridas dele e de como ele morreu, e pensei na hora que o Massa tinha morrido quando a mola acertou a cabeça dele, foi só um susto, só que infelizmente ele mudou muito depois desse dia, não sei se ele ficou com alguma sequela ou com algum tipo de trauma, mas ele mudou totalmente sua forma de pilotar depois disso.

I remember it vividly. We used to watch F1 with my dad and granny at our summer house in Hungary. It felt really close, due to the race being in Hungary. My granny was a Massa fan and was devastated.
