Task Force 145 is one of the most secretive and deadly tier one special operations joint task forces ever created. Forged after the 2003 Iraq invasion, Task Force 145 was relied upon by the Joint Special Operations Command to execute fast-paced, high stakes missions in pursuit of a very important manhunt.

The units that made up Task Force 145 ranged from Delta Force, SEAL Team 6, Special Air Service, MI6, CIA Special Activities Center, and a whole slew of others. This joint U.S.-U.K Task Force underwent some of the most awe inspiring missions the world has ever seen. But why was Task Force 145 stood up? What was it specifically created to do? That mission pace is unreal. I operated combat recovery on approximately 100 combat missions in 15 months, and I thought that was a bunch. 145 is the highest speed/lowest drag.

I heard that this is the real life Task Force 141. Perhaps it was this unit that inspired 141.

My father was apart of this task force as PYSOP operator he still has his coins and letters for awards I found when we were moving out his stuff from a recent house fire a few months ago. I tried to find information on it but I couldn’t find much. Very interesting to find out this information as he doesn’t talk much about his deployments.

They are in Africa right now and they got into a skirmish with Wagner a few years ago. The K/D was about 300/0 a couple of operators were injured from things like burning your hand on your red hot barrel, falling off the back of a vehicle in the dark, etc, but no deaths.

I just had to pause and comment after seeing that these guys were collectively doing 300 raids per month/ 10 raids per day. That is madness! 300 raids per month by a collective of US and UK Tier 1 units is crazy.

My unit worked with this task force in the jalayba area in eastern Ramadi in early 2006. Unfortunately three of them were seriously injured from a suicide vest worn by the first building we breached. They were taken to Balad and that’s all that was released because all of their missions are still classified. I hope they and their families are doing well.
