Thanks for getting straight to the point w no stupid music in the background. Good to see an actual tradesman using these tools hard.

I don't get ppl complaining about the weight when the tools are called Flex. They just want us to achieve hypertrophy. Flex cares about our gains.

I work in the office of a big Factory and we purchased 8 Flex 1/2 drills and 6 hammer drills for a total plant reset and design. Oh forgot we also purchased 20 extra batteries with chargers. I can't remember what size batteries were bought 5 hr I believe. These drills ran non stop for 3 8hr shifts 7 days a week for a month at least. When one shift would return them to the crib they were immediately issued out to the next shift still warm. Some of the batteries that came with the drills has problems but we were sent replacements pretty quickly but we never had a problem with any of the drills. For this month would be a lifetime of use for the average DIYer and some construction workers. All of the maintenance guys said they were sold on Flex and have bought them for themselves. Just thought this may help somebody that didn't know anything about the brand. We. Later purchased 8 angle grinders and 8 1/4 impacts and I personally bought the 1/4 inch impact to build my deck and it's a beast. Any of the other tools I can't say because I've never seen or used them . Good luck on whatever brand you buy.

Going on two years with Flex, everything still works flawlessly and I beat my gear up. Waiting for the router personally, and I can't wait for a legit battery powered table saw.

I'm the tool DS at a Lowe's. Several months back, we had a recall on our Flex tools because of the battery failure issues they were having- had to send most of our stock back. We're restocked now so hopefully they got that issue worked out. I don't have any real feedback to offer as we very rarely have anyone purchase this brand in my area so I don't get any feedback from customers. I think the battery issue scared a lot of people away from trying them ? Anyway, good to hear they are a tool I can recommend to people. I'd like to get more of them out in the field to see how they hold up.

Good video, amigo. This is one the best reviews of any product. On the job, experienced review. Not some wannabe in a garage showing which drill spins faster.
My FAVORITE feature was the fan mounting to the box. Game changer!

I just switched over to flex from Kobalt and I've been very impressed so far I literally had the entire Lowe's display of Kobalt tools. I used Kobalt for about 13 years and I use my tools. I am not easy on my tools and I don't baby my tools and I was just ready for a change I'll be honest I got a black Dodge ram and my Kobalt blue tools didn't match so when I saw the flex brand and it matched my truck I decided to make the switch and I am not disappointed I have the drills the grinder the circular saw multi-tool and recip with the stack pack to start with. I want to visit the site to purchase my tools because my Lowe's has a piss poor selection I've been trying to get the vacuum for about 4 months now and it's never in the big stand up light is never in but I just wanted to say I enjoyed the video and it made me want to share my tool story with you.

Well done Jon, 35yr carpenter here and I appreciate the attention to real builder conditions. Lab tests are one thing but I always bet on real world durability tests. Im a DeWalt guy but your insights and information has me thinking seriously about this line of tools. Thanks for the great video Bro!

I’ve been using flex for a while now and they are great tools.
People who get hung up on the China thing forget Milwaukee is made in Vietnam with Chinese parts and dewalt is assembled with “global” (Chinese) materials in the USA. 😂😂

I couldn’t agree more. I made switch about 2 years ago and I’m impressed. With the table saw and miter saw out, they’re passing the competition.

I thought your opinion on Flex tools was very informative. I'm ready to get a new impact/hammer drill combo and from all the reviews I've watched, it looks like I'll give Flex a try. I've been an electrician for almost 30 years now and have been a die hard Milwaukee user. Great review!

I'm a 24 year seasoned master carpenter and these are top notch I've tried them. These and Milwaukee are the best but these are a little less expensive so honestly I think these are the best deal you can buy right now.

Nice to see someone that runs their tools for a living giving a real world review!

I run Milwaukee and Flex. When I switched over to M18, the Flex 24V system wasn't around. I think I dipped my toe in sometime in 2022 and was not unsatisfied at all. Yeah some of the tools weigh more and there are times I'll run the Milwaukee stuff if fatigue will be an issue (like working a bunch over-head). Sometimes that heft is really beneficial, like when running the hammer drill on some concrete or masonry, you want a tool that doesn't feel like it was made by Playskool. The weight of the Flex tools helps them absorb more shock, too, which can help with fatigue. As you dropped stuff I felt nothing because the shit is just STOUT.

The Stack Pack interested me, it's very beefy as well. The lack of drawers when they released lost it for me. I didn't go with Packout though because they seem too overpriced for the general needs and aren't the most durable. If you're doing some specialty stuff and need all the little gadgets and add-ons, sure I guess. Good for plumbers and sparkys with all their fiddly stuff. I started with Ridgids Pro Gear and upgraded after the 2.0 came out which got me the removable cart section and drawers. If I ever kill my stuff or find I'm outgrowing it I'd probably move to Stack Pack or Toughbuilts StackTech.

Love this review brother. I’m a custom cabinet guy, so tons of installs. Got the stack pack a year ago and changed my life. my whole power tool set up is makita, (they’ve never failed me for the past 20 years so I won’t change it) but if I had to I’d consider switching to flex tools since I love the stack to much. 🎉🎉
