As a professional...
The best power tools are the ones you like...period.

Old head industry for sure. People don’t want to admit that their red and yellow tools are being challenged.

I know you are mostly on the jobsite but I seriously appreciate you being one of the few folks talking about Flex tools and showing them off in videos, giving your honest feedback, and not just driving lagbolts endlessly in weird races.

I wonder if it would be fun to have that rear-handle Flex circular saw (vs. anything Flexvolt from Dewalt) + many other Flex tools in a very compact workshop.

I love Dewalt and think they put many nice little quality-of-life improvements in their power tools — I want to make furniture and do other projects beyond the typical DIY-er, I don’t need insane power (although that’s cool). I wonder if it makes sense to have a blend of Flex and Dewalt tools as I start. I know some Dewalt tools are quite old at this point, and underpowered. Hard to say no to brand new tools at the top level coming with a lifetime warranty…

I'm 46 years old . Been a commercial carpenter since 2000 and residential 4 years before that. My only go to was porter cable . I still have all of them but I now only buy FLex . More than happy and I'm not looking back other than using my old tools for memories

You know I’m here to support brother!
Nothing but Facts you just spoke. That’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it. Hopefully people will respect it the same way I respect their opinion. Flex is at the top of the game right now.

lol agreed, I did carpenter 1yr in the union and maaan I had never met so many angry ppl. I’m 32yrs I got into the trade a bit too late to be an apprentice and to deal with with ppl that can’t control their attitude. I’m a truck driver now. Although a lot of old timers here still in this industry but they are much more respectful.
In carpentry they hated me for the fact that I always mentioned everything I know how to do is because of YouTube. They seemed to take that very offensive lol lol lol

On Dewalt for 8 years to Flex. I will never go back. The only negative is that Flex doesn't have enough as many tools, but it's slowly building up.

FLEX is the company that came onto the scene to be the number one and second best don't cut it. They aren't afraid of a Face Off or 2, not afraid to pull up the FLEX tow truck with Barnabie and Mike the plumber & Repro Milwaukee gen 4 Throne or drive the Hurst with DeWalt & their Stack lithium to their funeral

FLEX is what's Next they are about to topple PACKOUT that's what's Next.

As an apprentice carpenter I'm using Dewalt when working for my boss (his tools) and Flex when working for myself (my tools). Comparing both, apart form being a little heavier, I love my Flex tools. The accuracy, the power and the feel are in a class apart. Weirdly enough just the sound of the tools is awesome.

It’s a very nice commercial. Why not back up these claims with some side by side testing Against Milwaukee, Makita, & Dewalt.. I would also like to see how these perform after one year/1400 hours of use.

Wouldn't change a word you said. I would only add flexes biggest issue was first gen battery leaks. Whatever the black fluid is that leaks from them when they get hot. I think theyve fixed that issue with new stack lithium.

I own makita, makita 40v, milwaukee and dewalt. I can tell you that my only go to is Flex. Power, balance, control, durability. Flex is the only way to go.

i had flex tools for a year after wanting something other than dewalt. got rid of them. batteries leak lithium ion, impact driver was slow, batteries had a rather short runtime, had ine go bad on me already, theu were too heavy and bulky for the amount of power i got from them. i dropped the flex and now i own makita. love it.

Not hating flex looks nice 👍 it's all up to the buyer and what they need the tool for diy I would say flex is over kill there's plenty of options for DIY homeowner out of good quality I do like portable rolling system I I personally have the DeWalt tough system 1.0 works for what I need it for I do building maintenance so I don't need construction grade tools all the time there are tools that I use infrequently so in that case a corded option works for me I own DeWalt 18v nicad tools that sit I have a USA made Porter Cable reciprocating saw skill jigsaw when Bosch owned them a skillsaw circular saw 13 amps works well for my needs I just use high quality blades I own a Bosch idh-182 had it for years my go to at work at a 12 v Bosch drill/driver I got a few vintage tools from Milwaukee black and decker when it was made well
