what is alias command in linux?
In simple language we can say, alias is a utility using that we can create a shortcut and define short name of the huge commands.

for example if I'll ask you have to take the access of the server than how you will take the access of the server.

Yes right answer but can we do something to sort this command with a single word to do the same work.

That time yes you can use the command alias and create your own 1 word command for huge one.

There is 2 way to use this, One that in the same terminal will work the alias. when you will close the terminal that will be lost and if you want to persist that you can also do that.
just pass the entry in .bashrc file and use the same in terminal it will persist for always....!!!!
