I have stopped buying Legion because I just cannot trust that it is not going the same way as Armada and Xwing which I invested heavily in

Damn slowest relaunch ever. Some boxes have new cards with the new rules. Most don't. Super frustrating.

Disagree on most of the terrain kits. I have the one of the best FMD printers out there (Bambu Lab A1) and getting those flat surfaces and highly detailed sections to match the quality of plastic kits is impossible (and I have a tuned printer). I hate what AMG did to Legion scoring rules — they took out all of the flavor and turned it into Warhammer... When I'm playing Legion I don't want to just 'get to objective to score'... I want 'exchange the hostages', 'sabotage moisture evaporators', disarm bombs, etc. Unless you want to play competitively only, then these kits might now be a great purchase, but most of us just play for flavor. I'm looking forward to a new version this summer, but I don't have high hopes for it. On the other hand — playing One Page Rules with Legion models has been pretty fun :)

Just recently got into Legion. I think I'll just play pre-AMG rules with my friends.

I'd pick up any of the huge discounts. I can't fathom spending ~$100 on any of them. But I'm always surprised about the negativity regarding legion. It's been a great game and even if Asmodee kills it tomorrow, it will still be a great game to gather with some friends and play. Hopeful for the future of it regardless.

I like the old rules and I have most of the stuff on this list so I just play the old rules. I don’t care if I’m playing it wrong if I’m having fun

Don’t discard anything. Moisture vaps and hostage exchange might be coming back as a secondary objective.

If nothing else, you can magnetize the bases for the moisture vaperators or other old objectives and the POI tokens and add them to the top of the POI tokens for more flavor on your battlefield.

For Vital assets the mines and crates are good tokens for scaners and bomb for secondary missions. Much easier to see what units have them and more emersion than flat cardboard.

It is sad that if feel like the game is going the way of X-wing...almost. They need to move fast on a new starter and reprints or the game will die from stagnation.

Good video for those unaware of the current state of legion. I am really excited for the launch of second edition and to see this become a competitor of other mini wargames.

We are just planning on continuing to play 1st edition, so the vital assets and priority supplies might be on our buy list if its cheap. We'll probably print out proxies for the cards included with the terrain packs (if they can be found anywhere) for their gameplay and pick up the cheaper terrain elsewhere.
