Your video is like the volume buttons. “Not well thought out.”

you have good points, especially the point about the matte finish.. I ended up getting lucky cause they released the LEs recently (last month and today).. I can't speak for the color LEs but the finish on the transparent models seems to be way more in line with the type of plastic from original gbc or something. So I'm happy with clear transparent so far, and am getting a color LE shipped to me soon so will see what that finish is like. I do not own original black or white to compare though.

Analogue Pocket is just fantastic. I love to play my gameboy, lynx and game gear games on it. Great quality and a fantastic screen. Sure it can be stolen, it can break, fall into the toilet or a 100 miles big asteroid will destroy it (and us). So what? This shit can happen to everything you own or use.

Its nice but once you hear the price, you realize a $50 emulator is better lol😅

I think it’s a fine product, and I’ve never seen gb gba games look better. My biggest issue is analogue is a bit of an azzho. They treat this product like a money tree…all these manufactured scarcity, one limited bs after another. And the inflated shipping cost…they make valve look like a saint with the way they handle the decks.

I’ve heard other complaints about the finish. And if they take a while to get your hands on I can see why that would be a drawback

All your reasons are serious cope. So you’re saying don’t buy good consoles because you might break it?

It's an excellent piece of tech. It's more like novelty for me.

It's limited asf in my eyes.

I'd rather play on an RP3 plus or an odin 2. Can emulate wider and powerful systems, stream games, surf the net and native android gaming.

Plus better form factor for comfort.

1. You regularly hold your hand that high while playing? I would be more with you if you had mention how close they ar to the power button and how you could accidentally press it instead of the volume.

2. Take a look at basically any controller or what about gameboys that get their paint rubbed off?
If you want to keep things pristine, the keep it sealed on a shelf, or wear gloves or similar and play it rarely..

3. So you buy a specialised product from a small company producing priducts in fairly small volumes, that's unable to keep up with the extreme demand that developed for it (atleast at the time), and now you complain about being scared to use it because it's so limited and that it might get broken?

"Oh no, my life is ruined, it broke and now i have to be without one console for a while, so now i have to instead play the games on my other consoles or on an emulator or buy a cheap emulation device in the meantime..."

This comes more off like "ooh, look at my controversial monetized video about a popular niche product, showing how bad it is by being overly critical and petty. hit that dislike button and unsubscribe if you haven't already"

Your fingerprints aren't something new, you can see them on nearly every photo or video of the device, that's why I ordered the white one, also it doesn't seem like I will have to wait long, ordered a week ago and it looks like shipping will start again in February, they have a huge stock incoming. The Volume buttons... well don't press them I guess? You have to put your finger there consciously. Also worrying about something breaking is silly, everything might break if you don't handle it with care but this thing is built pretty sturdy, get a screen protector if you're that scared and use the damn thing, the LCD is top of any handheld class and puts everything to shame, even highly modded OG hardware with IPS panels can't compete.

For playing original cartridges, it's a great device with a great screen even if it's not OLED. But if you plan on emulating them then there are far superior devices under $100 from CHINA that can emulate them much better and have more scaling, shaders, bilinear filtering, pixel perfect aspect ratios, box art, preview videos, etc.

I just searched for its price, and I realized I must search for a more affordable alternative.

I'll just have to wait for a successor, that can play up to Dreamcast games.

A few other points, some reproduction carts won't run on the pocket. Normally I prefer the original games, but Fire Emblem 6 never had an official US release or English translation. I was eventually able to buy a random Chinese cart that actually worked, for some reason, but most other repros won't. Also the Wisdom Tree gameboy games won't work. BIG disappointment there. Otherwise I do like the Pocket, however, ironically, I went on a flight recently and I took my Advance SP instead, because I didn't want to accidentally drop it or lose it on a flight or something lol. But the screen does look really good, and the dock does let you use a PS5 controller if you have a wired connection, which you'll want a wired connection since the bluetooth sucks. So overall I'm glad I got it, but there were some surprisingly disappointing aspects to it. But if you're like me and you let a buddy borrow your original GB Advance and he screwed it up super badly, then you'll probably be glad that a company actually released a new GB Advance in 2023. No regrets with my purchase overall.

the only reason: retro handheld emulation

I can't take Anyone with Stock Arcade 1up Buttons and Stick Serious. Well at least I saw a few moments of your video and dropped a comment. 😅

the analogue pocket elitist cope in the comments is hilarious. A $60 device (miyoo mini plus/ anbernix rg35xx plus/h) is way more powerful, can play a lot more games, is actually fucking available to buy, and doesn't cost an insultingly high price. You can even fast forward games on it.
Analog pocket only has a few things going for itself: play original games (which will start to physically die in a couple years time out due to deterioration, and the games themselves cost a fortune), a nice beautiful screen (gotta give credit where its due), and that's it. It doesn't even play snes, ps1, ds, dreamcast games or fast forward in games. And you can't even buy this thing, cuz their buying system is so fucking bad and they take months on end to ship.
AP - $220
MM+/RG35XX - $60.
Its not even a fair competition. Save your money, get the later.
If you want original hardware, get a gameboy modded with an ips screen, new buttons, rechargeable USB c battery and so much more and it will still be easier and more affordable and available than the AP.

Get the pocket. You'll see videos like this that say DON'T BUY THIS REALLY GOOD PRODUCT CUS IM TRYING TO SAY SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION for views. The things they talk about are so nit picky is so dumb. Lemme spare you. He didn't like it cus

1) the volume buttons are small
2) it has a matte finish (what?)
3)the product is rare and hard to buy so he's scared of breaking it.

See? NOTHING to do with the product being bad at all. Just CLICK BAIT.
