Will full 3DExperience be made available to veterans like the regular SW license is? I’d really like to learn how to use this new product. I think most of us are happy to pay a reasonable fee for fully functional software. If y’all are so concerned about people abusing it for commercial use, couldn’t you easily watermark the parts with some unique identifier that is tied to the individual and offer some kind of bounty if someone notices someone using those parts commercially.

Interesting. Is it possible for me to open files from my former educational version of Solidworks (When I was an undergrad) in this version and make changes to them? (Now that I’m a graduate) Would be a great incentive to purchase as I can update the CAD content in my portfolio.

1) I know that I can't open files made with this version on full-fat solidworks, but can I do the opposite? Can I open files made with full fat solidworks on this product?
2) Does it store files locally, or is it hard coded to store everything on someone else's computer (i.e. the cloud)? The site says I can save all my data to the cloud, but do I have to?

There is no mention of any FEA tools. Even the example used in the video talks about something needing to be more "powerful". How do evaluate your design without FEA?

Without beating around the bush, can this software actually be used to export to a slicer and 3D print parts from, or is it just a CAD learning tool? It isn't clear what the product is here.

How does 3DEXPERIENCE Solidworks differ from commercial Solidworks from a learning perspective? Are the two similar enough that I could study books and videos on Solidworks 2020/2021 and easily apply that knowledge to 3DEXPERIENCE Solidworks?

Ive been with this for nearly a year . It sucks when they force updates ! If im on a metered connection away from home I shouldnt be forced into an update !
They throw gigabytes of downloads at you with no way to cancel it so you can use the software !!!

Can you please clarify what is meant by this statement in the terms of service? Makers may not want their CAD data to be freely available to SolidWorks and the community.
