Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - 13 Things You Need To Know Before You Buy

Announced out of the blue in September, Nintendo's Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is currently slated to release on November 20th for the Switch. Given how it utilizes the same setting as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and how the previous Hyrule Warriors approached combat, there's quite a bit to look forward to.

But what should fans of either title look forward? Let's take a look at 13 things you should know before picking up Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Should have mentioned that the Breath of the wild team was hands on with the development since the beginning. Helping with various aspects such as dialogue, story and certain mechanics.

It’s a warriors game. The trailer show warriors style game play. They even highlight “Warriors” in the tittle. How more obvious can they be? Stop comparing it to BOTW, people!

I don't remember if I played the demo or not, but I pre-ordered the game and then I didn't play it for so many months after it released. Just a couple weeks ago I started officially playing the game. I'M ADDICTED TO IT. It's so fun to play the many characters, I love the story and cut scenes, the main map has so much to do while not feeling repetitive or boring. I even enjoy reading the lil descriptions for the quests and then completing them. It is a fun game and I love the combat. Also, it's really satisfying watching the map slowly become all blue. I will definitely 100% this game ! If you like fighting games then you'll enjoy this.

Can someone tell me if you only fight in the locations the map gives you, or you can also walk and explore the map like in botw.

Its good they got a free demo...i played it & like the game by itself.. but i love it's original freeroam version before... This is basically just using all the characters u wanted to play. Upgrading the battle system.. But that's just that. Its all fighting doing the same thing.. clearing the swarm of enemies.. Stories are good but.. I prefer to watch that than play it.. personally it's play style is so repetitive & not made for me (Just my personal opinion✌️😅)For this im just gonna have to pass and watch playthroughs. Would be cool tho, if they were to combine both.. Imagine the playstyle free roam before and the battle sytem activates like this when fighting. But the rest is thr same.. being able to.do what u want, when u want upgrade weapon and armor.. being able to get and ride horses and more..
