Her Ring Got Stuck On Her Finger In Jamaica 😳

A combination of wedding celebrations and Jamaican heat caused this special ring to get stuck on the owner's finger. A 17 year old lifeguard came to her rescue but didn't have the proper tools to remove the ring properly. He used the only tool available, a steel file, to grind away at the side of the ring until it could be removed. This is the process I used to fully restore the ring back to like-new condition!

Pregnant women go through this ALL THE TIME. They even tell you to take off your rings and stop wearing them in later months. We never listen. I didn't. So proud of my wedding ring it had to be medically removed. Maybe partying in a foreign country; leave those rings at home.

Next time, don't wear rings in the heat, at the pool, at the beach or when you're drinking in the sun! If you do, go to an air conditioned space, lie down with your hand up and wrap it with ice/cold water.

This is why I save my fine jewelry for special occasions and wear a cheap silicone band everywhere else. Yard work, mom work, dishes, heat, cold, doesn't matter.

Usually you can get a ring off by skipping a thread underneath, wrapping the thread in a spiral up the finger, and then unwinding from the bottom will slowly push the ring up and off.
