The way she descends down from high above is exactly what her ancestor Aegon the Conqueror did on Balerion when he attacked Harenhal 300 years prior.
Haren had weapons that could bring down a dragon in the 5 high towers of Harenhal, so Aegon flew Balerion above the clouds and then flew straight down at the castle and destroyed the 5 towers with the weapons first.

God this battle had so many missed opportunities. Maybe have davos and yara work to try and clear a path through the naval blockade, have Jon and the unsullied try to infiltrate the kings landing to take out the scorpions but dragon is god mode when the plot demands it
