Can we afford to subsidize the extremely low rate of learning exhibited by Starliner?

Their report sounds like a story I heard years back “My partner is a perfect beautiful person maybe except for the left ear which is twice the size of the right ear and maybe for the fact that my partner can’t open the right eye but otherwise perfect, maybe the nose could have been smaller it looks like a huge potato, but otherwise a perfect beautiful person.

Congratulations on an apparently nominal decouple, de-orbit burn and reentry trajectory. It sounds like lots of details for the engineering teams to refine the designs and validation mythology. Fatten up the technical reports and shorten the back slapping superlatives. Please continue to provide regular and specific reports on the progress. The real question - - will FAApprove this craft for human flight? Was the vehicle loaded with mass equal to passengers so the deorbit and landing are a good engineering test?

We need some brutal honesty on the successes and problems found in the inspection of hardware and data for the day.

Steve was looking towards the future Starliner 1 mission! There shouldn’t be a next Starliner mission as this CFT was a failure.

we appreciate your explanations, but as we all can see now the Starliner was able to carry out its task to the end with and without the crew. One may ask why there was a need of negative publicity for the program or whether NASA has objectives that they chose not to make public ?

In May of 1963, Gordo Cooper MANUALLY guided his spacecraft to Earth after multiple equipment failures. That was over SIXTY years ago. The inability of NASA to send Starliner back to Earth with the crew speaks volumes as to what NASA has become.
