The uncrewed Boeing Starliner spacecraft is making its final approach to Earth and is scheduled to make re-entry and land soon in New Mexico. Join us for LIVE coverage of the return to Earth and landing of the Boeing Starliner.

The Boeing Starliner brought two astronauts to the International Space Station in June, but due to issues with the spacecraft the astronauts will not be returning home on the Starliner. Instead, NASA has decided the two astronauts will come home in February 2025 on a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, while the Starliner is tonight flying back to Earth without a crew. Several hours ago the Boeing Starliner undocked from the International Space Station (ISS), and it is now set to make re-entry shortly and land at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico. In this interactive live stream, host Steve Lookner brings you live coverage of the Boeing Starliner landing back on Earth after its uncrewed flight home, and he’ll also read your comments and questions on the air!

8 months when you're planning for 8 days sounds like a nightmare to most people, but remember, astronauts are not most people. They're probably delighted.

Successful landing, without the astronauts = failed mission. I feel sorry for the crew. But then again, perhaps they are enjoying themselves up there? Hey honey, see you in a week. Eight months

One can look back at most of the products made 60 years ago and see the changes and improvements of just about everything made. You would think, since we landed on the moon 60 years ago, we should at the very least have casinos and Ramada Inns by now on the moon with daily flights to and from..

Increíble que en el año 2024 seguimos usando los paracaídas como en 1960; que vuelvan los transbordadores

Boeing is a shell of its former self, shameful.

Just to clarify some confusion. The issue with the capsule returning was never the issue. The issue was if the astronauts were on the capsule and there was an issue and it could not redock that was NASAs concern. If they had any thrusters without humans it could be sent to earth to burn on rentry.

This has truly been an amazing experience. I wish the past year wasted would have been nearly as amazing or the five years previous to this year. Thank you . Come February hopefully they'll be back home safe, also.

This seems so primitive after watching the space x rockets return to earth under power and land on a platform the size of a helipad

Cool cool stream here !!! So amazing to see technology working first hand. And, by the way, I voted in the poll it wasn’t going to land safely. I was wrong. But every thing from undocking, to seeing them parachutes open, was really amazing stuff !!! Hopefully them people get home next, soon. Thanks Steve. That was sooo cool

Dang I missed this live. Still wouldn't trust Boeing if it was me with all the problems the company has been having and remember Boeing was also part of the Titan submersible too.

They need to put the Starliner in the big green dumpster then have SpaceX build another Dragon. There is not an endless supply of taxpayer dollars. I realize this was a fixed price contract but Boeing can always claim added scope and get paid to forever engineer a lemon.
