You have to think about the food web. The more different animals join, the more complex the food chain is gonna get. The sabertooth and dinos would probably change the whole perspective of the chain because they eat a lot. They are consumers and eat animals that have a lot of energy (cheetah, lion panther, elephant etc:) When these animals die, decomposers (microbes, flys, fungi, ) break down the the animal and the nutrients goes into soil, causing plants to grow. Then the cycle starts again. This animal eats the plants, another animal eats the animal that ate the plants etc: A animal with high energy (sabertooth) can eat all the high nutrients animals, which might seem good for the plants, but either

A: there will not be enough decomposers causing plants to die down

Or

B: there will be an overpopulation of dead animals causing exposure from the animal to pollute the area.

So instead of high energy animals, I would choose plants like trees because they are the producers and help the food web start (as for the megladon in the ocean…yeah keep him extinct for the same reason) hopes this changed your perspective 😅

The Woolly Mammoth and the Giant Ground Sloth are the only ones that are worthy in this list. Both are compatible with modern standards and the cause of their extinctions were primarily due to human hunting. They wouldn't pose a threat to humans and would play a huge ecological role, most especially the Woolly Mammoth in delaying permafrost melt

If we brought back herbivorous dinosaurs, but not the predators that prey on them, the ecosystem they're introduced to would quickly run out of resources, especially given the dinosaurs' size and caloric intake. The predators and prey balance each other out.
