They should only bring back animals that went extinct due to humans. If the animal went extinct naturally, then there was a reason, it couldn't adapt. However, if humans were the cause for the extinction, then bring them back because humans are changing to environment so quickly, it makes it nearly impossible to adapt/evolve that fast.

We can make birds into something similar to non avian dinosaurs through removing and adding genes. Btw velociraptor is too small to ride. You'd squash him

I say focus on conservation programs. Illegal hunting is too unregulated and animals today are going extinct faster than ever. Why waste time on reviving species that could take years to populate, when we can just protect the animals we have today?

Just add 2.0 to every reintroduced animal

We could actually create a dinosaur by modifying a bird's DNA.

We can resurrect dinosaurs. Just reverse engineer a chicken

Mammoths would be cool. But sadly the weather condition we have on earth now aren't suitable for mammoths:(

Wouldn't that just be ruining evolution?

This is gonna be a long ass comment on this topic, so be advised.

Can we bring back these species (plants and animals)?
Yes you can, you just need a suitable environment with suitable resources, as well as a way to raise it so it can adapt to it's environment. Expensive but doable. Now the big question, should we bring these species back? Yes absolutely, but it needs to be done with discipline. Strictly for research would be sound. In terms of profit, I will not agree that most of these species should be made as pets for pure enjoyment and status reasons. But I do think that some resurrected species could be good as a beneficial addition to lets say a green house environment, an aquarium, terrarium or parks. Tourism would be the profit, but unfortunately there will be idiot tourists that will wreck things at the end, so best stick with research in isolation. Now most others say "we should focus on endangered animals first" which is funny, cause we can focus on rehabilitating endangered species and bringing back extinct animals at the same time. There's the odd bunch that say "we shouldn't play with gods work" and again that's funny, cause we can.. Leave religion out of this. End of story. This should be further researched more and actually be given the green light to resurrect a species into the current world. There will be trials and errors of course like from any progress. But this should "NOT" be halted because of some BS ethics from churches and the odd bunch. Progress with discipline and awareness, but don't stop cause of some nut jobs saying "you can't".

This notion of bringing back these organisms is a new trend and ambition for science now, which is known as the rise of the necrofauna. This is truly interesting and I would love to be involved in this research if I was given the opportunity.

Passenger pidgeot you can live with us you can sleep in beds (much comfier than a nest) you can buy bird food in the malls (much easier than you supposed to do) take a ride with a car and be relaxed with a cool airconditioning high speed technology (rather than just flying wasting your energy)
