A Karen and her partner claimed the part of the street in front of her home was her property before calling the police on a Black man who parked there. Dr. Rashad Richey and Sharon Reed discuss on Indisputable. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

"A Black man visited a friend in the Hidden Hills neighborhood in Santa Clarita, California, and was informed that he needed to find a different place to park his car.

According to Instagram user Steve “Boss” Haas, who posted the clip on Sunday, Sept. 10, he had parked his car in front of a couple’s home, and they did not appreciate it and left a letter that read, “Please do not park in front of our home. Thank you.”"

It's a shame that the people calling the police doesn't get fined for wasting police time.

HE SHOULD’VE LEFT A NOTE AT THEIR DOOR SAYING, KEEP YOUR HANDS AND NOTES OFF OF MY CAR!
IT’S A PUBLIC STREET! MY CAR IS PRIVATE PROPERTY!

Do they call the cops on every car that drives on their "private portion of the road"?

It amazes me how many people think they own a public street.

She didn't have the right to touch his vehicle, now, that's private property.

I bet if the county or city sent the homeowner a bill for future repairs of sidewalk or asphalt they won't claim it.

Putting that note on a car on the street was just plain stupid and ignorant.

I was at my nephew in law's house one day and someone parked in front of their house. He went out and told the person to move their car. The man came out and moved it but he didn't look happy. When my nephew came back in the house, I told him that you know that's public property right? People can park there as long as they don't block anyone's driveway. I tried to reason with him but, I let it go. Some people are weird like that. One holiday in my neighborhood, this one neighbor put cones in front of their house because they didn't want people to park there. Ridiculous.

Start charging these people for calling the cops and wasting taxpayer money.

As a homeowner myself, I don't care if people park at the curb, I have a driveway. Just because you own a home doesn't mean you own the curb in front if your home. You own the driveway, if someone else parks on the public curb in front of your house you can't do a damn thing about it, as the street isn't your property. Now if the car is blocking your driveway, you can talk to them about it. Check their demeanor & the way they responded, the man clearly said they didn't have an issue with visitors parking there, so they had an issue with a black person parking there. POINT BLANK PERIOD.

Where I live, there are many arguments about street parking. The rule of law is that parking on city streets is first come, first serve. There is no predetermined or reserved parking on any public street. Period.

UNBELIEVABLE that they don't know the sidewalk or the street is public property!!
They put a note on someone's car, which is their property, and didn't expect that to get a response.
