Not a criticism but a tip if you want your onions to soften before you add the butter cook the onion in a little water in the fry pan and wait for the water to evaporate then add the butter wait a little and add the sugar when they start to brown on a medium heat ti reduce the burning of some onions

If you're referring to Portland, Oregon, there is not an In and Out burger in Portland, it's a few miles north of Salem, in a much smaller city known as Keizer.
