Seems like select shift was overall better when you take into consideration the 60 foot times. Low 12’s is amazing for street tires

I have a 2013 mustang v6 6r80 I’m trying to figure when to shift when I’m racing and when to shift when I’m just daily driving

Is it me or when I’m in drive and mash it no matter the speed it takes forever to actually down shift and go. Every now and then it will down shift and go but more times it takes a little for it to go.

What I do is just put mine on shift mode and never shift it. As long as you don't touch through paddle shifters it will stay in automatic but you will get the benefit of higher rpms and better shifts.

I have no videos to show for it, but manually shifting the 1-2 shift then throw it into drive is what I've found to be the fastest. It helps getting to rev a little higher during that first shift so it throws it in the next gear harder then starts building. Tune is set to shift at 7k but i usually shift 7300 ish during 1-2.

I have had the same thought with mine even stock ! I have a 2013 mustang gt and it seems like it’s faster when I hit the 1-2 shift then slam it back into drive. It seems to be the fastest time.
