If you are coming to Angel Twist from the Tree
posture, make sure to work on the same side as
you were working in the Tree. You should perform all of the single-leg exercises on one side of
the body before moving to the other side. The
photographs here have switched to the recipient's right side for visual clarity only.

In the Warrior stance, push the recipient's
knee toward the opposite thigh . Fix the
knee with your closest hand and use your other
hand to palm the iliotibial tract . Keep
your arm straight as you palm and fall in with
your bodyweight.

Move on to Side Kick, or to Knee to Forehead
if you're performing a basic Thai Yoga Massage
session.

Adaptation: Place a pillow between recipient's
thighs to avoid discomfort in the knees and
groin.

Benefits: Gently compresses and nourishes the
intervertebral disks; releases the iliotibial tract;
increases mobility and flexibility in the lower
back; alleviates sciatica; releases tension on the
upper thigh.

Recommended for: Vata and pitta
