Ive never been able to wrap my mind around how people seem to make it look so easy. They bounce from person to person, often for years if not decades. I dont know how they even meet so many different people in the first place. The play house together sometimes for years. They will end living with someone they were with for years and 3 weeks later are moving in with someone else. Its madness. Ive been rejected, laughed at, ignored when I tell others that spending the night is not going to happen, and living together is certainly never going to happen. The casual nature of the vast majority is baffling.

Nursing school: mostly female, the few males are much older than me
Church: no youth groups for my age group
Job: with my family and have no co-workers

Just feel kind of stuck. I feel like asking for God to send me someone is selfish, but I haven't had a best friend in a year and it's been so so lonely. I let go most of my "friends" last year bc they were not good for me or my journey in Christ and I haven't recovered socially.

i used to idolize marriage for a long time, I desired it a lot. I surrendered that desire 2 months ago. Now, i feel content in my singleness with Jesus. Wow!! There has never been a more timely message for me in this area than this. As a 28 year old autistic, single Christian I realize that my main issues are masturbation, passivity & wishful thinking. I urgently need to repent of the last two. Thankfully I've gone about 2-3 weeks without giving in to lust. I ask for anyone reading this to pray for me please. Don’t even chase after people in your heart. You’ll find yourself upset and jealous etc for no reason, and could even act on those emotions and wind up looking desperate.

I always thank God for your ministry, Mark. I also have to thank you for bringing this subject up. It has always been of great frustration and sadness to me to never have been in a relationship before. I used to think there was something really wrong with me, but reading the comments I see I'm not the only one in this situation. I pray to God to help me change the areas of my life that are keeping me away from relationships. Anyway, I feel really sad that time has gone by and I worry that I may not have the chance to have a family with children and all (I'm over 40). I thought for a while that God wanted me to be single, but then I heard a pastor say if you have the desire to be in a relationship, you are not chosen for singleness.
