As a non English speaker, it is always fun when you see conspiracy theorists drawing a line between the name of some ancient deity and some (relatively) modern event or tradition, because almost invariably the modern event has a totally different name in languages that are not English. Specially because most of those modern events or traditions were not created in English-speaking countries and thus their earlier names (when the tradition was developed) had nothing to do with their names in English.

Dude, I was a major conspiracy theorist when I was a Christian and OMG! Thank you for this video. I can’t believe just how much misinformation I subscribed to and preached actually was. When you’re in that echo chamber of fundamentalist Christians, you count all the hits and ignore the misses. In many other cases, you call anything that opposes your view a part of the “Satanic agenda”. This is tough to hear, but liberating!

Easter always felt decidedly un-christian to me. It was very close to the spring/rebirthing rituals that we observed in our own communities, but it came with chocolate so we didn't look too deeply into it.
