Mattress Mack, the guy with Houston Astros baseball cap, is absolute treasure and cherished by rich and poor alike. He doesn’t care about money, he cares about community. I remember when Hurricane Harvey hit some big churches were closing their doors but he opened up his huge furniture stores to let poor people in and sleep on his brand new mattresses and sofas. He didn’t care. He won our hearts. Real wealth is humanity and he has it.

I’m not a millionaire, but have no debts and a few hundred thousands in the bank, and the key sentence for me was: “it reduces your stress a lot”. Forget about luxuries, only that one will make your life a whole lot better my friend.

Matress Mack is the most intriguing, passionate, selfless person in the group. Everyone else talked about what they did or had. He talked about what he is doing for others. He is an Icon in Houston and is exactly the person he says he is. What an an amazing man.

Absolutely INSANE to me that an astronaut was floating around space and thinking to himself, "Whoa, I can pay off my student loans soon." Great video!

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

"Their mother did a great job at raising them". That was so.ething my dad said all the time before he passed. He worked from sun up to sun down. He also regretted not having a better relationship with us. Little did he know, we learned our work ethic and independence from him. It wasn't just mom who taught their kids to be good humans.

“Relationships are the currency of life” -Mattress Mac

Greatly said. Relationships have got to be the biggest thing in life to me

It's actually refreshing to hear someone wealthy (2:10) say that money can buy happiness. So often the cliche that money can't buy hapiness is rolled out it's beyond frustrating and shows a lack of self awarness and empathy. There probably is a limit to how happy money can make you, but it can stop a lot of the things that make you unhappy such as financial worry and stress, and it definitely gives you a lot more opportunities to make you happy. Similarly, the other guy said that relationshis are the currency of life. Great, what affords you the opportunties and time to create good relationships? You guessed it, money....I mean it's hard to spend time with family or meet new people when you're working 3 jobs just to keep roof over your head.

I'm glad that you found millionaires that made their money through some other means than the stock market

"I will never be fired by a moron again". That is golden :) I've been self employed for probably half of my life and now that I'm heading towards retirement age I have just started a new 'job' with people that I wish I'd been able to work with many years ago. That being said, the biggest thing about money, just a decent cushion, is that when anything goes wrong you can just call someone and pay them. There are still illnesses and death, but even those things are easier when money is not an issue.

The regret question is interesting for me because I’ve thought of it as well and it seems to me most changes I’d make are in health of my family in the last 6-7 years. The money seems to be handled with work and time. I’m not rich nor is my family but we all do well. So I believe we are BLESSED!

Mattress Mack is such a big hearted man who’s done so much for the community at times of crisis, stepping up without hesitation way before the church and government

The simple fact that they've been able to retire and enjoy their later years and not working themselves into the ground until they die, living with bill stress every day of their life, means it's worth it.

This is something most of us ask in our minds and you went and did it! That was absolutely amazing. Thank you!

2:58 is why I leave work at 5:00 PM every weekday and no longer work weekends. I can always get back to the crazy grind when they’re older and don’t want to spend time with me anyway.
