TVs should last 10 years minimum, period. I have one 2009 set that works and looks like new. Only suckers think TVs should last 5 years.

I bought a LG C1 65 inch on pre blackfriday sale in my country for 1400 eur (Sony A80 was 700 euros more which I do not think is worth it). I couldn't let this pass and I am glad i did not. Because now for Black friday it is 1600 eur. I am super satisfied with the C1. It is absolutely a delight to watch Dolby vision HDR. And just to say for the people who are concerned with an OLED not being bright enough. I must say this was also my worry, but after watching a lot of show in Dolby vison, I must say that the C1 is definitely bright enough. I must even say that when the white subtitles come up they sting your eyes a bit because they are so bright. So I do not really think that the majority of people will have any objections to brightness of OLED.

I'm happy with my 43 inch Sony Bravia TV. I'm glad I paid a little extra for the quality over it's rivals that are around £150 cheaper.

Not sure if I'd agree with your conclusion there. I'd say the Sony probably beat LG C1 on the polls if you consider how A90J and A80J (two incredibly similar TVs) are splitting votes.

Those poll results are staggering. I knew OLED was popular but didn't know it was that popular. It is the superior technology and considering its less than a decade old, it's still relatively new and I think will advance quite a lot in the next few years.

Great Video! I'm down a rabbit hole with TV research. I'd bought a 55" LG C1 OLED but cancelled the order as I thought I'd rather get the 65" but now I'm doubting OLED. I've read about issues with SKY Q and I watch a lot of You Tube and Sky Sports News so I'm worried about burn in. :/ Do you have any advice or reassurance please?
