1. I would say go for a TV with a better screen and speakers than a slightly worse Smart TV. You can always just buy a fire stick and boom. Plus those firesticks generealy have more powerfull CPU so better performance
2. 32" are pretty much always HD, not even FHD. I'd say at least go with 1080p if 4K is absolutely not in budget
3. LED and LCDs are not the same. LEDs are generally better cause instead of a backlight layer, you have lots of tiny LEDs. So it gets brighter so better HDR

Few important tips and information (with Technical information for nerds)

Panels:
- TV panels are of two types "VA" and "IPS"
- IPS panels provide greater viewing angles and are suited for brightly lit room e.g. Drawing Room, Hall, restaurant, etc.
- VA panels produce deeper blacks and provide less viewing angles. Such panels are best suited for dimly lit room such as bedrooms with less/warm lights

- LCD tvs had a CFL backlight with multiple sheets of filters to produce colours
- LEDs replaced the LCD while rest of the setup remains the same
- QLED TVs have LED backlight setup but with a better "quantum dot" filter which produces better colours and hence better picture quality
- The presence of backlight is the reason why the normal TVs cannot produce deepest blacks and rather a dark gray tint
- OLED TVs do not have any backlight and rather each pixel is individually lit and hence produce by far the best and most crisp picture quality

- TV panels' brightness is the most important aspect to experience a vibrant picture quality
- 400 nits or above is considered good for 4K tv
- QLed 4K tvs are similar to 4K(UHD) tvs except for a Quantum dot filter which enhances the colour reproduction of the panel
- QLed TVs need to have a minimum peak brightness of 500nits for good viewing experience
- OLED is organic-LED patented by LG. This kind offers the deepest blacks but has "burn-in" issues (google it for more info)
Also, OLED tvs lasts less comparatively
- Full array LED tvs offer the best viewing experience and picture quality control amongst 4k/Qled tvs

OS:
- Android TVs need more RAM as compared to other Linux based OS such as Samsung's Tizen, LG's WebOS, Hisense Vidaa OS
- The app store support is the key factor while choosing OS. Android OS offers the most app options, followed by Tizen, WebOS, Vidaa

Panel Features:
- Dolby Vision is high-res picture codec for picture quality followed by 4K(UHD), 1080p(HD), 720p (of course 8K is the highest but pricier)
- Dolby Vision is a property of the panel and cannot be updated through software
- Dolby vision requires a bright panel to operate (about 400-450nits or above)
- The higher the resolution, the more premium packs are required for the OTT apps such as Netflix, Hotstar, Prime
- Samsung tv DOES not offer Dolby Vision support
- High resolution panels tend to have laggy pictures while displaying fast-moving objects. Hence, an external MEMC chip is attached to smoothen the frame rate.
This is branded as MotionFlow tech or similar names by various brands
- MEMC is an external component in the chipset. Budget brands usually avoid using this component and rather tend to provide a software solution which never works upto the mark and hence, cannot substitute an external MEMC chip

Audio:
- Dolby Atmos is the latest audio codec
- One needs to have atleast 7.1.2 or above external speaker system setup to actually experience true Dolby Atmos
- TV speakers cannot provide the support for Dolby Atmos and rather play normal audio codec

HDMI:
- HDMI 2.0 offers 60fps frame rate
- HDMI 2.1 eARC offers 120fps frame rate
- Playstation-5 requires eARC support

Market:
- Hisense is one the largest manufacturers of panels and provides the panels to most makes such as VU
- Hisense owns Toshiba
- Sony does not manufacture panels and rather gets it from Samsung. But the Sony uses the most premium panels that even Samsung does not use in its TVs
- OLED panels of all brands are manufactured by LG
- Flipkart invests and sells under two TV brand names which are Motorola and Nokia

After-sales Service:
- Only Sony, LG and Samsung have their dedicated service network respectively
- ALL other brands in India outsource their service to third-party service providers
- Flipkart itself provides service for Motorola and Nokia

Verdict:
- Sony provides the best picture quality with Android OS support X80J, X80AJ are value for money. X90J is a dream come true
- Sony's normal 4k TVs (like X80J) perform better than many QLed TVs
- Samsung's Frame TV is one of the best QLed TVs in the market with 120Fps support in 55" model. The quality gets better with Samsung's higher priced options
- Hisense Full-array QLed TV (U6G) is one of the most "value for money" QLed option with the brightest panel
- Hisense Tornado TV is good option for normal 4K tv
- Vidaa OS does not have Hotstar app

Caution:
- Mi/RedMi TVs may look good on specifications but offer inferior quality panels in India (brightness around 300-350nits). They also never disclose the brightness of their panels for the same reason
- Toshiba TVs offer great picture quality but offers VidaaOS which is fast and good but does not support Hotstar app
- Samsung does not support Dolby Vision

Hello.
How do budget range TVs (like MI, realme, nokia etc) perform in long term as compared to TVs like samsung, Sony etc. Do Budget TVs last longer (6 to 8yrs avg usage)? What is the Life Expectancy of such TVs?

In our house we have only TV, which is a 15 years old 21" Phillips flat TV. Though we barely watch TV nowdays, yet I doubt modern LCD or LED TVs can last that long. And the repairing also costlier for those TVs.
