I went to Bali for surfing in the 80's. Ended up staying for a year. Ulu, Padang, best time of my life.

Just spent a couple of months in Bali. Bali is officially not a fun surfing destination anymore. Don't go to Bali to surf. However, surfing in Indonesia is pure magic!

Went there last year when Ulus was pumping. Only 6 of us on the main peak. Best day in the water in my whole life and I’m 45.
