So I'm very often asked about red light therapy beds versus red light therapy panels, or, about red light therapy beds pros and cons. So here's what you need to know:

✅ Red light therapy beds look like tanning beds but usually don't emit any ultraviolet light. I haven't used a bed personally yet though but will do so in the future. Now here are the reasons I prefer a red light therapy panel over a red light therapy bed:
✅ Reason 1: Size. Even the BioMax 900 quad setup - four different BioMax 900 panels - takes up almost nos pace in my house. A red light therapy tanning bed would take up half a bedroom up to a full bedroom, depending on their size
✅ Reason 2: Multitasking. When you're using a red light therapy panel, you can still multitask. For instance, you can still read content on your phone, read a book, or do breathing exercises or something else. Multitasking is much harder in a bed. Also, it's easier to start a bunch of panels with a push of a few buttons than to get into a tanning bed. Even with red light therapy panels, you can still get a stand such as the PlatinumLED horizontal stand
✅ Reason 3: Product Range. For red light therapy panels there are a lot more product offerings than with the red light therapy beds. You've got lots of multiwave options for panels - there are only half a dozen red light therapy beds options on the market
✅ Reason 4: Shipping. Shipping a product to you is very difficult, and handling of such a massive vehicle. Panels are much easier to handle on your own. You'll need some machinery for a red light therapy tanning bed, in fact, such as a fork lift. And, you'll pay a lot more for shipping
✅ Reason 5: Price. Red light therapy beds are massively more expensive than panels overall, even from a full-body treatment perspective. A quad setup of 4 BioMax 900s you'll pay maybe $10K at the very maximum. Even with eight BioMax 900s you can treat your entire body quickly, at $20K at the very maximum. A red light therapy bed costs you anywhere between $40K and $140K, which is much more expensive
✅ Now, the red light therapy beds pros is that they're great for a clinic or a spa. In that case, you might want to opt for a bed for sure as it's somewhat more time efficient

So overall, I hope you now better understand the red light therapy beds pros and cons and why I prefer red light therapy devices & panels instead.

Thanks Alex, as far as I know MITO light bed has pulsing function and considering we are in energy crises, panels take less power, so are more economic! But I have seen, top athletes use light beds in their preparation for game: it cuts the time in half when whole body is treated during 10min session. Light beds are best for gyms or other sport or beauty centers, unless you have a large villa and even larger bank account!

Can pick up old free tanning beds on marketplace and put a few hundred bucks worth of red light bulbs in them and come in much cheaper than panels. You don't even have to use both sides of the bed. And you can stand them up vertically.

I turned my tanning bed into a red light bed ... I love it!

My general understanding is that red light beds at spas, tanning salons and gyms are red light only. They don't have NIR light, which most panels and higher-end red light therapy beds do have. So they're not fully comparable to high quality panels-? We also don't know the EMF level of the gym red light beds.

I have used a bed a few times at a tanning place. The red light was very bright almost white. They recommended to use eye protection. I did not experience pain reduction and stop going. A panel I would probably use more often, like my omnilux mask.

Alex, can you do an updated video about this? And I hope you've had a chance to use red light beds since. Red light/infrared light beds are like $70, 000. The good ones. Wondering if it's worth it

I’ve been gathering info on red light/NIR devices, and the only significant user comment about side effects I’ve seen was from someone who used a bed for 15 minutes at a tanning salon. She reported a lasting burning sensation on her skin, twitching facial movements, and agitation/sleeplessness. I noticed the latter 2 are symptoms consistent with serotonin overdose/adverse reactions. And red/NIR has been reported to be effective for treating depression, so it is likely to be boosting serotonin levels. Seems like in a bed, you’d likely be getting double the dose, as compared to full-body panels, so you’d need to be careful about getting such side effects. This could be a real concern if a user is ingesting anything that impairs serotonin breakdown (meds thando this often are listed as interacting with SSRIs). So having the ability to vary time and light intensity seems especially key for beds as well as front/back panels.

My main question is the LED's in the bed vs. the panels. I wonder if that will be the significant performance factor? I'm going to do a commercial space but I was thinking to just stack 4 biomax 900's on each side.

I go to an L.A. Tan for Redlight, I noticed that the lights look more white with a red tint . Is this normal? How red is the red light supposed to be ?

Couldn't you take a small closet, hang panels on all 3 sides and 1 on the door.
install a little fan. Point is if most external cells in your body are happy then it saves more
of life energy for the rest.

BIOMAX PANELS seem stronger than sleeping bags, however as sb are much closer maybe there is not much difference?

And sb / blankets can go under your body so they take half of treatment time! isn't it?

What about the glass in the Solarium. Does it block some of the red light?

I saw in a picture that if you want to have a big panel on you while lying down, the stand legs would need to go under the bed, is that correcr?
