How To Avoid Buying Infrared JUNK!
----------------------------------------------------------

IR light therapy is has become extremely prevalent and widely used throughout the world in the medical field, because its benefits are irrefutable.

There’s a tremendous amount of research that’s shown IR therapy can:

• Reverse peripheral neuropathy
• Heal traumatic brain injuries.
• Heal injured muscles & Joints
• Accelerate the Healing of Fractured Bones
• Help heal disc injuries
• Accelerate wound healing, including burns

However, many of the IR light units on the market are compete junk and ineffective for nerve repair.

In this video, I’ll reveal the 5 things you ABSOLUTELY MUST know before buying an IR light therapy unit.

Most of us have heard, that nerves heal V-E-R-Y slowly. But did you know that using near infrared light can accelerate nerve repair up to 4x faster? In fact, I’ve witnessed this in my neuropathy practice. Instead of a patient’s nerve recovery taking 8-12 months, our patients would recover in 3-4 moths, which is literally record-breaking time.

But before you buy a unit, I want to make sure you avoid some pitfalls which can cause you to waste your hard-earned money on garbage, and worse yet, crush your hopes because you think the device didn’t work.

I researched lasers 25 years ago. I have used them to heal and know how to treat. The assumption that if the Joules are low. The fact is the dosage is based on time and power! (Output x distances time) and if not compressed into the tissue or on top of it the power dropped off heavily for every mm of distance from the body. It is the wavelength that determines penetration and power. If you dont have money then get a cheap model i have my patients use those on the side and then treat them with a class 3B laser. Pulsed can be accommodated to by the body as well. That is why you use a multi-pulsed system for long term use. I’ve treated the brain, spine and all joints in to body successfully with use of infrared laser therapy devices for years. But not just lasers. Diet, exercise and mobilizing soft tissue and joints is also required to successfully treat paresthesia. Neuropathy requires treating the whole person, or it can come back. I also use electrical stimulation and non-thermal ultrasound to change pathology together with the light therapy. And a simple TENS unit works for neuropathy too!!! 🎉

No device is rated by energy. They are rated by power, which is the rate of energy consumed, emitted, etc. The overall power of the device might be different from that emitted because of various losses, for example, not all the power that goes into the LEDs go into emission and some go directly into heating through non radiative processes (which are then emitted at much longer wavelengths through black body radiation). Rating something by energy makes no sense because a device can deliver any arbitrary energy if you wait the appropriate length of time (time=energy/power).

Sorry for commenting again. Just wanted to say that I’ve been researching on you tube about NIR devices for 3 days now. Your video is, by far, the most helpful. Thank you.

Dose is simply telling you how long that power density was applied for. Higher light intensity means less application time is required:

5mW/cm² applied for 200 seconds gives 1J/cm².
20mW/cm² applied for 50 seconds gives 1J/cm².
100mW/cm² applied for 10 seconds gives 1J/cm².

These units of mW/cm² and seconds give a result in mJ/cm² – just multiply that by 0.001 to get in J/cm². The full formula, taking into account standard units is therefore:

Dose = Power Density x Time x 0.001

Bought mine on line from China. More than 1 square foot, 45watts. Mine is 660nm & 850nm. Been having lower back pain for more than 1 mth. After 3 sessions of red light therapy, 20 minutes, 6inches distance. The pain went away.

Thank you for this information. I wish you could put out what you believe that works.

Working with medical equipment is true that many are taking advantage of the red light therapy and selling you underpowered lights or ones that don't generate the correct wavelength for a working light therapy. My advice is that if you buy one, do your hw and also buy equipment to measure that light output so you make sure it will work. You will be surprised how medical equipment uses the same parts you can find in chinese marketplaces but the medical industry is so greedy overcharging you for a already very well known and available tech.

Your information was needed. I got a belt and brace. When I set it for 850 I couldn't seethe light and thought the 850 setting was useless. What an eye opener!!!! Thanks Doc!

8:38 - On the graph, "Joules of Energy" are per unit of surface area (square inch, square meter, or...? ), and from what distance? These numbers are meaningless unless there is surface area information and distance from source to surface measured, as shown on the graph.

Infrared units are so ridiculously expensive. Thats why I am making my own using 30 percent 650nm, and the rest 850nm and 1150nm. I will also create it with optional an option to pulse the light at any given frequency that has been known for regeneration for certain organs or tissues. Yeah its just way too expensive. Since I am the one making it, I know I wont be screwed by these unscrupulous companies.

Good presentation thank you. This seems to be targeted at nerve repair. I agree some red light units are better than others. (Quality of components, how they were put together). Power, distance and wavelength are important. Pulsed light is good, the lower frequencies of red light can work well however for skin health, sleep and many reports of quick healing of pain from knocks to joints, sprains. Ours use 670 nm deep red light premium led cluster at 8 mW/cm2 to slow the ageing of the eyes for those 40 and over.

These are clearly a lot of steps even to write down. Is there a device you can recommend on Amazon or elsewhere?

Love all your videos. I’m 72 and I’ve I’ve had idiopathic peripheral neuropathy for over seven years and gone through five neurologists and neurophysiologists in Toronto 🇨🇦and all they could ever do at the end of the day is tell me I had IPN. I’m not diabetic and it isn’t amyloidosis .
They just say there’s nothing I can do and don’t suggest any of the treatments you’ve referenced.
I’ve been to naturopaths and likewise everything they did from chelation to removal of my mercury amalgams hasn’t produced a regenerative effect. One suggested my long term use of Dexilent for acid reflux( smallest dose) or the amalgams ( since removed) likely contributed to the damage registering 10x the norm. I’ve stopped taking Dexilent and now just drink ginger tea as my new Doc suggested and it actually works in conjunction with the plant based diet.I have this new GP who is very pro plant based diet which I’ve been on for a month. I shall stay on it regardless of my neuropathy issue. I will start using the supplements you recommended ( took photo shots of everything). The only thing I’d like to ask about is the infrared treatments. Could you possibly name the one you would recommend and can it be bought online.
I just can’t believe that none of these neurological specialists I’ve seen over the years have never recommended anything to reverse this debilitating condition . All they say is “ that’s why it’s called idiopathic. Pathetic !
Thanks for your time and trouble. Hopefully this all works. 🙏
