He's a fantastic player who's good with the ball at his feet.. He's also a pressing machine oh and also an Argentine, he'll suit perfectly in Atléti..Bring him to LALIGA

River Plate produces champions. Those champions give it all for the team, without the need for personal glory. He won’t cry because the fans recognize his work and worth and the coach knows he’s crucial to a long season

Can we stop this rumour now? Atletico Madrid doesn't have enough money because Manchester City will demand close to 80M pounds for him. He has got four years left on his contract and is a key player. This isn't a charity; it doesn't matter how much Alvarez wants to join AM, because Manchester City is not obligated to put Alvarez's interest above that of the team.

Unless there’s a plan to sign a backup striker for Erling Haaland, it doesn’t make sense for Manchester City to let Julian Alvarez go. You can’t potentially sell him for a lot of money and then go the season without signing a replacement for him. Selling Alvarez to Atletico Madrid means that they could repeat the same mistakes they made with Cole Palmer where after you let him leave to go to Chelsea, he flourished into a top player somewhere else.

Here’s the thing if the player is very keen on leaving the club, they’re not going to force a player to stay when they don’t want to be there and this has been Manchester City’s policy over the years and you don’t want to affect the morale of the squad with an unhappy player in the dressing room. For those who wonder, how Bernardo Silva is still playing for that football club despite the fact that he’s wanted to leave every summer is because other clubs like Barcelona and PSG who’ve been wanting to sign him, his wages are the biggest stumbling block in trying to get him. It’s 50-50 on whether or not it’s the right decision for them to get rid of him because on one hand he’s a key player for their team regardless of him coming off the bench, on the other hand, they could live to regret selling him.

Even if Alvarez will leave City he should wait for another season but not the coming season because he will go to Olympics and the playing time that's forcing him to leave he gonna miss most games by himself and if any team buys him right now they need him but staying at City he can go and comes back anytime he wants. Maybe that season he can get Barca instead because I don't see Atletico fitting him that much. His type of player if he leaves City Barcelona is the right place for him, Maybe Lewandowski will go.

Yeah, he'd a be a perfect fit for Atleti/Simeone. He suits their style of play.

If he leaves City, he will prefer a title winning team. Atletico hardly wins any trophy. The lure of being the main man will not be enough.

City have their player valuations. They stick to them. The buyer will have to meet the valuation. Simple.

I think city already regrets letting Cole Palmer go and next is Julian. I understand that the team is so deep that there are 2 star players for each position but players need game time and a consitant place in the playing 11 or they are gonna leave.

Haaland will get fed up with Pep and go the end of next season Alvarez would then be the main guy.

Alvarez should go player as his age shouldn't be sitting on the bench he should be playing

If Julian Alvarez cares about his career, he needs to join Atletico Madrid this summer. Don’t get it twisted, he’s a great player and for someone who’s 24 years old, he has an impressive trophy haul for club and country and he has been excellent for Manchester City, but he’s at a stage in his career where he needs to be regularly starting games week in week out. He’s not guaranteed that at Manchester City and before looking at a stat that he’s played the most minutes for them last season, context matters because in the first half of the season, Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne missed a lot of games due to injuries meaning that he was playing a lot more than ever before and even when he played, he was being used out of position. When both of them returned to full fitness; he was relegated to the bench. No matter how Haaland performs and what you think of his all around game, he’s guaranteed to score goals and as long as he’s at Manchester City when he’s fully healthy, he’s their first choice striker.

This means that Alvarez is either on the bench or playing out of position. It’s going to be the same situation for him next season and we all saw what happened with Cole Palmer in his debut season at Chelsea where he took the premier league by storm after leaving Manchester City due to a lack of game time and became the main man somewhere else and this is an example of him feeling like he can benefit from having a bigger role on a weaker team. Even though he’ll be guaranteed to win less trophies at Atletico Madrid, from a career perspective it’s a good move for him and he has a bigger role to play there than he does at Manchester City. When you’re going into your prime at the age of 24, you don’t want to be content with the role that he has on this team even if he’s winning trophies left right and center he needs to actually play. You look at the striker situation at Atletico Madrid, Alvaro Morata is now at AC Milan, Memphis Depay also left, I don’t know if they’ll keep or sell Angel Correa, Antoine Griezmann despite being their best player is 33 years old and as good as he is, with his age, they can’t rely on him forever. Alvarez is an elite striker and his profile as a player absolutely suits Diego Simeone’s system and you’re going to see the best version of him if he’s on that team because he’ll be playing a lot and as their first choice striker, he should be hitting 25+ goals per season especially when he’s putting up very good output while coming off the bench in a couple of games.
