How To Cook Mushrooms With Proper Technique

Learn this technique and you can cook any mushroom like a professional chef.
Ingredients:
10oz Mushrooms
1 Garlic clove
1 Shallot
3 Sprigs of thyme
3oz Water
2oz Marsala wine
2oz Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
A couple tips-
Use medium heat the whole time, depending on the mushrooms they may take more or less time for each stage of cooking. Don't rush it.
Adding a small amount of water early on in the cooking process helps the mushrooms release their moisture. It's important to cook all that water out so you are able to caramelize the mushroom.
Add your aromatics at the very end of the cooking.You want to cook them until they become soft and smell really good about 1-3 minutes. Add your Marsala to prevent them from burning.
Feel free to leave any ingredient out, the sautéed mushrooms on their own are delicious.
The amount of salt it takes to properly season mushrooms will surprise you. Season as you and keep tasting until they are to your liking.
