SUMMARIES:
- Not the darkest secret in the bag nor is it the biggest skeleton in the Walmart closet but we’re just getting started here. Now the thing about supplements is that unless they’re prescribed by a doctor and come from a reputable and trusted source, you should really steer clear from them.
- Now we all know that discrimination in the workplace is a serious problem. And most large corporations do their best to polish their public image and show that this kind of behavior is not tolerated.
- Organic groceries imply lack of antibiotics and clean and healthy food to put on your table. Of course, this healthy food comes at a price. Organic food is usually pricier than its non-organic counterpart.
- Every employer no matter how big or small tries to vet new employees before hiring them. This is especially true if the employee is someone who will be interacting with the customers. Background checks ensure that the staff has no criminal records or violent past that might put the public at risk.
- As with most businesses, Walmart usually tries to attract customers by offering discounted prices online. You just go to their website and browse around. You’ll find daily promotions and discounts on several items and products.
- We’ve all heard it before. Giant companies benefiting from sweatshops in poor countries where the work conditions are abhorrent and the workers get treated unfairly. It has to do with cutting down the cost of labor and increasing their profit margins.
- There are two types of shoppers. Those who drive to the nearest retailer with or without a shopping list. They go in there, grab a cart and start filling it up with the stuff they need. Then they head to the nearest checkout, pay, and leave.
- You must have heard of the early bird adage. Well, it’s more than an adage and it’s not just that your mom was trying to get you out of bed in time to catch the school bus. And if you were wondering what kind of worm you were supposed to catch as you hustled bleary-eyed every morning to get to school on time, well, Walmart has got the answer.
- This is not exactly a secret, but most people who spend hours shopping at Walmart go blissfully unaware of its existence. We’re talking of course about the clearance section.
- Who doesn’t love cheap stuff? All along we’ve been focusing on how to get the best deals and pay less to get more. So what’s wrong with Walmart’s cheap stuff? Well, nothing if you’re buying bread or non-organic vegetables.

So I can say with fact that background checks are a real thing at WM. If you are working in an area that sells firearms you will need to pass a background check. The "fact" they don't have background checks, its total bull.

Wow, this is bad. A lot of unsubstantiated claims, some based on nothing more than "an anonymous person posted this on reddit once, so look out." Got through the first four before dumping out.

I'm not walmart's biggest fan, but I can debunk just about every one on these myths. I wish I had enough writing space to bounce this bs

It seems that there was no fact checking done before the production of this video. As a Walmart employee I can tell you that they run background checks with 100% certainty, and have done so for at least the last 12 years. I started with Walmart in 2007 and was given a background check. I left in 2011 and tried to return later that year but my background check didn't clear because my former manager had me skip over the criminal history section during the interview because she didn't know that in 2005 I was arrested for assault (for defending my mom from her ex who had just punched her in the back) and the only reason I failed was because it looked like I was trying to hide it even though i divulged that information in 2007 when I was hired the first time. I was later rehired in 2013.

Interestingly enough the no background check part of this video is completely wrong as half the time we get people to onboarding only to be rejected by background check. Also I would say that Walmart reverse discriminates as it is nearly impossible for a male to get promoted over a less experienced female.

They stopped doing the price change or match way before you made this video. Lmao

Inaccurate....I'm a department manager at Walmart and I had to drug test and allow 2 background checks. All of this is false.

My wife got hired at Walmart just last week. They did a background check on her for sure. So is this video wrong or is it not the same at all Walmarts? Makes me wonder what else is bad info.

As a Walmart employee, a couple of things i noticed. First, store brand supplements are FDA approved. And we put bright, pretty produce to attract our customers. Therefore the fruit and vegetables are fresh and customer complaints are low. At least at my store.

I worked at Wal-Mart years ago, about 10 years after I worked there, out of no where I got a 700 dollar check in the mail from them, apparently the company that did our payroll was stealing from us

As a Walmart employee of over 10 years there is so much wrong with this video. 1. They DO background checks. Whoever the person in the video they shown was a 1 in a1000 situation that could happen. 2. The clearance section is NEVER hidden. We are trying to get rid of this stuff! Most stores like mine are smaller and we have to find an area to put the items. Most of the things we can keep in the area until the mod changes. 3. A lot of the vitamins that are sold are FDA approved. There are wayyyy more things you could have posted about the company that almost any employer can agree on. Next time check your facts before posting.

As far as the clearance section for the store it is very clearly marked with those big yellow clearance signs as shown in the video. You can also ask any associate and they can show you. The best clearance deals will be right in front of you as you walk through a department though. When they set new modulars in an area, they add new items and phase out some to make room. They put clearance price stickers and bright yellow clearance flags in place of the normal shelf tag. You get huge markdowns as they just need to free up the space. When shopping for groceries or other consumables look for these great deals. A lot of departments have a set space in their department for clearance items also ask or look around the department . Also if you want killer deals on candy, go at 12 am as holidays end and they are officially past Easter, Halloween or whatever. The holiday candy is 50 percent off at that point. If anything makes it a couple days past then it goes to 75 percent off.

Walmart conducts a thorough background check which you receive a copy of, and that is not new policy. You are not hired until you pass that check.
